Commuter

There are letters on the bed... she said.

He said the brakes were worn to nothing and I was lucky to be alive so i decided the last thing i'd do before I die. I'll plant a couple of seeds around the mountains of japan and then just turn to dust where i lie.

When the mainframe collapsed we lost three days work. We hired a professional to stop the bugs where they lurked. I will sit on the couch with the lights out and use a rusty tub to wash my collared shirts.

It hurts to be dependent on this new technology but it's the only way i'll find you so that's alright with me. If that's the place I'll find you, it'll be alright with me.

Takin care of business has been taking care of me. You know the more I pray to money it seems the more I get to keep but it bleeds me.

I've seen most of America before I had any kids. But I wouldn't pay the toll to cross the natural bridge.... and that's my loss.

And it scares me to death when I think of the little time I have left for this.

This isn't wasting my time. I'm taking a windows-down 12 hour free ride across the state of Tennessee and there you are sleeping on the passenger seat.

Trucks they never slow down regardless of the rain and they're afraid of ever dreaming and so they snort third rate cocaine and so they ride.

Deer seem to fantasize about the other side of 40 till one day they're inspired and they run like they never have before. Like they never have before.

And it scares me to death when I think of the little time I have left for this... and the way that you look at me when you can tell that I've been drinking... I'd drain a thousand barrels if I knew you'd ever leave me.

Sped down the parade route.

This is a car ride this is a long hike this is a long way to find a place to stay.  Skin can be stapled, sutured, and mended. It doesn't make us less alive. It doesn't make us less alive.

We're tied to the bed with the choice of a diver. We'll take our masks off to fight the pain. Can't make our own air. This just isn't fair. I cannot live without your help. I cannot live without repair.

Marrow Transplant

I hear stifled whimpers in the corner of the room.
I stare out the window. I seem to remember a different moon.
I should probably visit home soon.

People here aren't friendly like they were in the South.
Every time that I communicate I cringe and i look for a friendly mouth. Then I turn it down until it's not loud.

I gave everything just to join your clan. You said you needed some help. I said "I understand where you're coming from" but i'm the ungrateful one.

I did this for you. I gave it all up.  Why would someone do that for nothing? That's not why I did it but you proved me wrong. All that I got was this song. You make it hard to move on.

I recall I had a house with a few amenities. I used to play with my terrier under those mile high pecan trees. But I'm losing my memories.

Pride has destroyed every ounce of integrity. We were given so much but then we forget where we came from. But I'm the ungrateful one. I'm the ungrateful one.

There were five weary travelers on my living room floor. That worn parquet pattern. That's what it's for is to help someone.

This firefly is trying to tell me something I don't know.
Even though we come from different kingdoms we can still talk in morse code.
With light we don't compete with motorcycles or echoes.

In trying to be a friend and give advice to him you should see what tomorrow brings.

Played all the things into my computer machine. This is a solo album I did in a musically transitional period and called myself “A.
