Direction of travel is a sequence of poems about travels to various places in the UK. They are not pastoral, they are not about birds or ecology, mostly they are often about how ravagaed the English landscape is and how we encounter and navigate it, mediated by devices and technologies. 

Each part will have both poems and music. The poems came first and the music is mostly derived from impros using voltage modular then rearranged and augmented.

Willfully obscure - whose voice?

A selection of tracks I made which are music only when I said I wouldn't do that. These were all made as early experiments and learning pieces from me getting my head around a DAW, some softmodular and generally getting my head around how to make music this way. 

Mostly: Votage modular or VCV rack impros imported into Bitwig and then using NI, Grid, Pigments, Maschine etc to learn.

Started using a DAW in lockdown to record some poems I wanted to get down, then got fascinated with it all and started producing sound works as well. 

Not dance or genre driven, mixing is a bit crap but I' m enjoying it and hope to find some similarly wordy folk for inspiration.
