Roman Messer's first release of 2023 is the Full Fire update of 'Lost Soul', his collaboration with NoMosk and Christina Novelli!

Time sure does fly! Back in 2014, the original version of 'Lost Soul' was one of Roman's seminal tracks that put him on the map. Produced in collaboration with NoMosk who has since become one of Suanda's core artists, and featuring the vocals of Christina Novelli who has grown into a full-fledged superstar in the vocal trance scene, that track had all the hallmarks of a future anthem, riding a 132 BPM groove perfect for festivals.

Now, almost a decade later, Roman Messer and Andrey Bushmelev (NoMosk) have re-united in the studio to supercharge 'Lost Soul' with a Full Fire update! A name that Roman has coined for his high energy uplifting trance reworks of his progressive anthems is very fitting, indeed - pulling out all the stops in their effort to turn 'Lost Soul' into a peaktime trancer, NoMosk and Roman have thoroughly reworked the track and infused it with thundering kick drums, a driving bassline, stabby lead synths and intricate percussion patterns that all work together to produce that sensation of flying that we all love in proper uplifting trance music. Christina's vocal soars over the melodies with impressive intensity in the track's climax - all in all, this one is a certified secret weapon that would be a highlight of any trance DJ set.

Above & Beyond continue their return to the dancefloor with ‘500’, the next single from their upcoming ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 1’ EP, out May 25 on Anjunabeats. 

The GRAMMY-nominated founders of Anjunabeats have been quiet of late. Following six months of studio hibernation after their sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations at Banc of California Stadium last October, Jono, Paavo and Tony have been busy working on their next extended project. Enter ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 1’, a collection of five heavy-hitting club records, calling back to their instrumental roots. 

Drawing inspiration from all areas of contemporary electronic music, ‘Tranquillity Base Vol. 1’ features five tracks debuted in front of 25,000 fans in Los Angeles last October; ranging from the rolling grooves of ‘Spin Off’, to the darker atmospheric techno of ‘VLEKNO’.
 
The name of the EP series references A&B’s beloved Tranquility Base alias, which was revered for its contribution to the trance genre, including iconic records such as ‘Surrender’, ‘Oceanic’ and ‘Razorfish’. The ‘Tranquility Base EP’ series showcases the current instrumental records firmly lodged in Jono, Paavo and Tony’s record boxes. 

The second single off the forthcoming EP, ‘500,’ is out now. Written especially for its debut in Los Angeles, ‘500’ was also played at Above & Beyond’s sold out Printworks London takeover in April, as part of the iconic venue’s closing season.  

“In the same way the quieter moments on our albums have always been a major part of Above & Beyond, the bigger dancefloor moments have also been a hallmark of our sound” says the trio.

The full 5-track EP, ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 1’, arrives May 25, and is available for pre-order now.

Above & Beyond will headline The Gorge Amphitheatre on July 21-23 for the biggest iteration yet of their Group Therapy Weekender festival, alongside label stars from Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep and Reflections. Tickets are on sale now (aboveandbeyond.nu/gtw).
