Love Letters enters the Allergy Season fold for his debut EP on the label, Projecting. The EP presents Love Letters doing the work he knows best: taking us for a ride. This trip begins by throwing us into the saddle at full trot on “With Stallions,” a galloping, panoramic piano banger with a booty. That distinct Love Letters vibe rings clear in the track’s flirty functionality, featuring slinky hats and cheeky claps designed to move the body, clip-clopping atop a tickle of acid and euphoric synths. The EP continues to juice us out with the simultaneously crunchy yet deeply moisturizing “Vazeline,” and the persistently rejuvenating “Villa V” (wherever that is…), where we are greeted at the veranda with a swinging, hyaluronic acid groove, billowing over in lush synth glissandos and hazy, diaphanous pads that disperse to reveal sprawling vistas beyond the eucalyptus steam. The final track “Tantalize” winds down our journey in a thoughtful wash of gorgeous dub, nourishing us yet leaving us wanting more.

Born in the bucolic mountains of Vermont and based in New York City, Love Letters (aka Maxime Robillard) is a producer, DJ, sound artist, and vibe curator extraordinaire, running the experimental ambient event series Hypnotic Spa (co-curated with dj s) and releasing music on labels like Mister Saturday Night and The Bunker NY. Most recently he contributed to Car Culture’s Dead Rock LP on Allergy Season sub-label Lighthead Records. Love Letters truly is a multifaceted mood chauffeur, reaching wide across energies in his pursuit of sounds for all occasions that mobilize bodies and activate minds.

Will Hofbauer & Sangre Voss team up for ‘Steppe EP’ this June on Control Freak Recordings, featuring a remix from Discwoman’s Ciel. London-based Will Hofbauer and Sangre Voss, whose individual work has seen them appear on labels such as Rhythm Section and Will’s own Third Place imprint, team up for the first time on Control Freak Recordings for the wonky ‘Steppe EP’, picking up early support from Ben UFO, Bradley Zero, and more. Leading the release, ‘Pumice’ tumbles through rolling low end, crunchy percussion and an eerie breakdown for a high energy start to the A-side. ‘Flundra (Flundra Mix)’ follows with bubbling pads and speaker-rattling subs around a kick-less drop, leading into a shimmering breakdown. On the flip, ‘June-O’ sees the duo craft a low tempo slugger, peppered with tablas, bells and eagle samples around warped, loopy synthesis. Ciel’s remix of ‘June-O’ takes the B2 spot, adding stuttering percussion, vocal chops, and additional wildlife samples to the mixture to round out the release.

Wire Parasitism EP is inspired by the electronic music which was produced during the end of the 80’s and beginning of the 90s by the likes of Richard H. Kirk, Psychic TV, Coil, David Campbell or Lagowski (to name a few). Walid El Barbir uses his unique producing & sampling skills to create contemporary and industrial sounding compositions out of found footage like occult documentaries, rave stabs or Emax sound-libraries.

Walid El Barbir is a part of the collective Les Points based in Zürich, Switzerland. 
His art/music draws from 90's rave utopias, occultism, progressive & accessible frameworks as showcased at their offspace Mikro - 
a physical room which has no doors and opening times during exhibitions and raves - making an institution available to all social layers.

But it wouldn't be long before this place was no longer a hidden secret. For now, she'd make the most of it...

Never one to sit about and twiddle their thumbs, Bristol's Banoffee Pies return with another fresh EP, this time on their original series. The 12th instalment is in the safe hands of New York based multimedia artist Tristan Arp, who has become known for his intricate rhythmic explorations on his own Human Pitch imprint. Demonstrating his passion for sound design, the four tracks on Slip flaunt his love of polyrhythmic drum patterns, heavy percussion and sub bending bass.

‘Deterrence’, the first number off the release is a coalescence of moods - modest, languorous breaks are interposed with zephyrs of synth that rise and fall with a gentle lilt. Freda has firmly asserted himself as a tastemaker of considerate music-making, absorbing the trends and movements of the day, digesting them and reconstructs their most interesting components. For Moonshoe’s tenth release, Freda once again reveals the class of breaks by paring it back and injecting a little breath of air, and when done masterfully, that little puff of air feels more akin to cool afternoon sea change, a fresh change on a hot day.
