"The ideas of Soulseeker EP came around after I attended a number of underground raves and doofs across Sydney and NSW. I really wanted to create something musical that takes me away to somewhere else and I wanted to detail a musical journey in an EP.

'Soulseeker' combines melodic elements with a thumping techno bass-line and drum-set, the song slowly develops over time and leaves the listener moving on a sonic journey within the soul (hence the name soul seeker).

'Mescaline' was a very unique track that I came up with after experiencing a lot of psychedelic music. I wanted to create another track on the EP that also takes you on a journey, this time with more psychedelic and Middle Eastern inspired elements. This EP is sure to slap in any underground club or event with a plethora of soundscapes and subtle elements to keep you on repeat."

Hocus - Soulseeker (Lisa May Remix)

Lisa May is from Newcastle in Australia, and is an artist known for her aggressive style of techno with heavy percussion, acid synth lines and sinister atmosphere.

Her solo track on this release called "Want You" is another fine example of her work, with explosive industrial textures and intense synth lines laced with a twisted euphoria. The call and response melodies add to the swelling tension that reaches its crescendo in the main breakdown just before the percussion comes slamming back in.

It was written for the ANNA & Wehbba competition. It was selected as one of the top 25 tracks they received and it was played on their back 2 back live stream on ANNA's Facebook page.

Lisa May - Want You (Original Mix)

Aptly named after a fish that once eaten, can engulf the consumer with horrifying psychedelic visions, 'Sarpa Salpa' is a track designed to take you on a journey into the darkness. 

I was inspired to create something deep, dark and hypnotic but I wanted to add a different touch to the style. 
I have always loved breakbeats and artists like the prodigy who fused them with dark melodies and sounds; and so I thought the marrying of these two styles was a fitting combination. 

The song is a little different to the tracks I have so far put out but in no way is it a drastic deviation from my influences as an artist. Drawing from the sounds of modern techno and classic trance, you can expect both the sounds of darkness and light from future music.

Daniel Tonik - Illusions (Original Mix)

Nostalgic Frequencies was created with the idea of bringing the feeling from back when acid was born and introduced in the mid 80’s and 90’s in raves and warehouse parties. The song brings a percussive and strong groove inspired by the Brazilian roots of the artist spreading along the track creating an evolving and contagious dancing atmosphere.

VØIR & Who Is Arcadia - Vague (Original Mix)

The March EP is a body of work which combines some of the darker & heavier elements of the underground techno scene throughout Australia. The tracks on the EP have been hand crafted to include elements which provide a clean, clear drive whilst also including rhythmic elements which humanise the music, and make you want to dance. 
The concept for The March EP is the constant evolution within the three tracks on the EP to build and release, resulting in a ‘March’ toward a final, powerful and defining crescendo.

The March is the single track of the EP, and is particularly important as it introduces the concept of the body of work through a throbbing, dark sub layer. The synth layers remain relatively refined until late into the tune, creating tension in the track & teasing how filthy that final drop is going to be. 

Both Find Your Place and What You Want contain layered synth elements and evolving melodic components which build and release energy throughout the track. Similar to The March, each tune comes to a point of release before building to a final moment of absolute carnage.
