once upon a time is usually associated with chara but i think it fits pretty well here, battle against a true hero is because this was inspired by the "avenging angel" arc in which frisk confronted an alternate-timeline geno!frisk, and your best friend is because the souls don't really have a better leitmotif

It's a simple one, folks, but after I sorta wrote a song for this AU by accident a few days ago, I thought I'd spend a little more time on it! Though, uh, apparently the theme for this had already been decided... whoops.

I'm thinking that an extension of a 45 second track is something most of you wouldn't be interested in?

I wanted to make something for Smashtale since I love the idea of it. So then I made this. The beginning and the actual song bits are the original trainer battle song from Pokemon RBY, while the SOUL segments are the themes of the Champions of each generation (excluding Alder, I couldn't find his song, so I used N's.) I didn't make Finale (which was going to be called Victory) because I can't leitmotif and I would mess up the way it should work. My one problem with this is that it doesn't sound much like Your Best Nightmare. Bonus points if you figure out what the laugh was replaced with.
