MaSo is czech based dj from Karvina city. He appeared on the scene in 2005 when he was completely captivated by techno music. During the years he shaped his sound into its current form, which we can describe as industrial and raw techno. Throughout his DJ career, he played in almost all the important clubs in the Moravian-Silesian region, such as Ostrava's Fabric, Marley, Klid, and Bogotá, as well as in Opava's Depo. In the summer of 2013, he performed at all the major open-air events in the Moravian-Silesian region, including Zodiac at Hlučín Lake, and later alongside his dj friend Dealer at Beats 4 Love in Ostrava.

Today, we have a special guest mix from Belgian DJ and producer Voodoo Ray! And yes, you see it correctly, we have a 3-hour ride ahead!

Born in Leuven and currently residing in the region of Ghent, he has been following the electronic music scene from the late 80’s, playing his first parties in the mid 90’s to only recently taking his first steps in music production during the lockdowns of the Covid pandemic.

While appreciating a broad range of genres, he favors the most a raw and hypnotic style of Techno, sometimes minimal or even tribal oriented with regularly an ominous or melancholic touch without losing sight of the dance-floor friendliness of the tracks he is playing.

Morker also know as 'Darkness' in Swedish is the brainchild of Rukshan, starting his career as a DJ in 2009 under the alias 'Ruki', he was involved in many underground events as well as projects developing and building his trademark as a reputable DJ/Producer. His diverse taste of music has given him the edge of being one of the most consistent and versatile DJ's in our generation. Rukshan's latest project 'Morker' is a mythical character created by him which incorporates with his project 'Black Lake Recordings'. He considers Morker as one of the representatives of this mythical Lake which is also the collaborative creation with his business partner Pablo Campbell.

His love for Darker sounds have grown over the years and this is shown by his musical creations as well as his DJ sets, giving the listeners an emotional ride throughout. With a love for the unorthodox style of mixing creating raw dark energy making the listeners lose themselves within.

Miroslav Byrtus, also known as Dustman, entered the club scene around 2002. During this period, he was most drawn to techno music, an interest that provided him with a fresh perspective on music, offered insights into the world of clubbing from a DJ's viewpoint, and ultimately transformed his life. Over time, he discovered that Drum and Bass suits him the most. This choice made him to be really addict to electronic music and integrating it into his lifestyle.

Despite his strong affinity for DNB, Byrtus remains loyal to techno, resulting in the creation of this powerful techno mix with great energy. His musical preferences lean towards dark bass lines and aggressive sounds, characterized by a high level of energy, elements you can hear in his sets.

We bring you another great techno artist who prepared live mix for our podcast. And that is ICARIAN PB1. You can also hear his own production in this live set, so enjoy the mix!

Icarian PB1, a techno producer who is active in the music scene since the nineties. At that time, you could see him at events in the Slunicko club, where he had a residency, and at other techno parties throughout the Czech Republic, more or less legal. In this wonderful time, he called himself Flashback. In the new era of digital DJing, Flashback decided to create his own tracks and play them live. Under the new stage name Icarian PB1. The reference to the first Czechoslovak science fiction and the utopian character of Icarus is not accidental. Icarian PB1 has a residence in the Prague club Jilská 22, where he regularly invites guests who make up the top of the techno scene in the Czech Republic and here and there also guests from abroad. 

His know for his live mix style where the compositions and entire sets are really created live, according to the reactions of the audience, according to the mood and atmosphere. So you decide how the music will evolve during his sets.

Roman Hyde - his beginnings in playing date back to 1997. At that time, he co-founded the X-treme club in Frenštát. From Frenštát, you also know him from events called Hard Work. Thanks to Kaisersozeho, who noticed his talent, he became a resident of the Depo club in Olomouc. Right after that, he was accepted into the Brno techno agency Lunar, which represented names like Kaisersoze, Pietr, Leo Lycra, and Daho with Ginger, and this opened the way for him to events such as Citadela, Apokalypsa, Orion Hall, and then he became a resident of Bassblaster. He played at major festivals like Summer of Love, Svojšice, Cosmic Trip, Hradhouse, etc. From 2002 to 2010, he was also a resident of the Ostrava Fabric with X-mix and Genetix nights, and here in 2024, he played again at Techno 90”. Thanks to Roman, artists like Alexander Kowalski with Raz Ohara, Heiko Laux, Diego, Dave Ellesmer, Daniel Bell, Jeff Milligan, etc., performed in the Czech Republic. He also dedicated himself to creating mixed compilations, which were very successful and appreciated. Even after years, fans still listen to Beautiful place, Cafe de Paris, Gattacu. After a 12-year break, he dusted off his records and after a few events, recorded a successful mixed compilation Mechanismo, which can be listened to on Soundcloud.

Prague-based producer and songwriter Imperat (you may know him as Kleitone) makes electronic music that touches experimental techno and modern house.

Growing up in Soviet Era conditions, it was hard to get your hands on music of this kind. However, with such a big passion for electronic music, the young producer and his friends would explore different musical styles, cutting, chopping and mixing from imported vinyl, cassette tapes and CDs.

One bold move to the Czech Republic later, Imperat discovered the vibrant electronic music scene of the West whilst travelling and performing across Europe.

He belongs to the category of post-COVID DJs, who officially joined the PLAY. brand in 2022, under which he played his sets at clubs in Bratislava such as Radosť and FUGA, Stanica Žilina - Záriečie, STK47 Warehouse – Krakow, and at Tabačka in Košice. The Zvolen collective Vyšívačka recently released his guest DJ set, where he delved more into deep house and groovy sound, but here, you can enjoy his take on deep/hypno techno sound. KRPKS actively seeks out fresh sounds, which he regularly enriches each of his performances with.

ZLAYA aka Zlatan Zec was born in 1986 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He fell in love with techno in 2000 in the small town of Kutná Hora, where he also got into djing in later years. The first official performance at Rambajs Fest in the brewery took place in 2014, after which came a lot of experience. An example of this is his work on Un:vrs, where he demonstrated his love and feeling for music in both musical and visual directions.
Zlay later managed to organize his own event called DFT DARK NIGHT, which hosted names such as Golpe, Nika 77, K.Sandra, Franke, Dana Foris, Sliba & Zi etc... Listen his great mix full of groovy raw sound.

Frantisek Urban, also known as DJ Franke, started his passion for electronic music in 1993. By 1999, he began his own DJ performances and has since become a prominent figure in the Czech techno scene, performing in clubs nationwide and in Slovakia.

He was a resident events BassWave Attack, Incubators and since 2005 a resident of Open Air Summer Session, which takes place at Žďákovský bridge near Eagle Lake. Another resident BPM Festival is open air Třich Dvory at Cologne.  In 2014, he began promoting Czech techno abroad with his show "Czech Techno Manufactory" on Hungarian radio Art Style: Techno, featuring Czech techno DJs. DJ Franke is primarily focused on techno but occasionally delves into house music. He presents a faster techno style characterized by raw and hypnotic elements.

Alliance Of Music 030 | UNDERHOLT (CZ - PRAGUE)

DJ Underholt has been involved in music since he was a child. He attended music school and was part of many musical ensembles. Over time, he gravitated towards percussion instruments, which he played. Rhythm captivated him so much that, with the rising wave of techno in the late 90s, he switched to electronic music, particularly this genre, because he always leaned more towards the underground scene. He appeared on the Czech techno scene in 2007 when he bought his first turntables. He mostly played at smaller underground events under various pseudonyms in different clubs across the Czech Republic. He even organized some events himself, inviting notable names in Czech techno like Pavel Krejdl or Daha and Ginger, where he played alongside them. He also participated in several local open-air festivals, where he had the opportunity to play alongside international DJs for the first time. Even though he has been playing for 15 years, he has only recently come into the public eye. Today, we can hear him as DJ Undrholt. He has played alongside DJs such as Lucca, Ladida, Golpe, Džéjár, Dobé, Orbith, and Z-Aires.

His playing style today is characterized by a faster tempo, energetic set execution, quick and dynamic mixing, broken beats, and industrial sounds. He uses driving tracks with prominent rhythmic elements, rawer and darker, usually without melodic components, but with a strong bassline. DJ Underholt strictly plays on vinyl, using older tracks from the golden era of techno, often from his favorite producers like Rumenige, Boss, Loktibrada, Ruskin, Surgeon, Itoh, etc. However, he also seeks out new quality productions released on vinyl. He dabbles in his own production, experimenting with combining electronic music with acoustic instruments, but primarily focuses on perfecting his DJ sets and exploring new possibilities. DJ Underholt maintains his underground and distinctive style of playing, and with the gradual return of vinyl and traditional techno, he is enjoying increasing popularity.
