As I get further along in my journey to start my business - and moreover to be doing the work I truly want to do in this world, I'm asking myself if all this pressure to "work hard" ... the busyness, the being involved all the time/everywhere, the intense hours, the internal pressure ... is that truly going to get me where I want to go? Or perhaps is there another definition of what it means to work hard in today's world and create things that matter.

If you are managing a complex, non-linear, brainstorm ... or what may feel like making sense of the ‘activity map’ inside your mind ... it is overwhelming. The creative process requires insights to be synthesized (ie. put together) rather than broken down into pieces (ie. taken apart), which is what analysis and linear thinking do well. To do this well, you need access to your intelligences beyond logic and analysis  ... and meditation is a great practice for doing this. I’ve created a 20 minute guided exercise that you can do during the early/visioning stages of your creative process, to help you get out of your ‘thinking’ brain alone and tap into more of the brilliance that’s at your disposal.

Inner Reset, Guided Meditation

Did you know that even when your world feels like it is falling apart, there is still the ground beneath you? There is earth within your bones. You can still create your own ground by creating it. By pausing and letting yourself be held by the two sources of stability that exist unconditionally at any moment - the firmness of the earth that holds you up, and the ground you create inside of you.  You have the ability to tune into either of those at any time. It takes stopping and allowing yourself to feel it. This 5 minute visualization helps you create that sensation for yourself so you can re-create a feeling of foundation, even when you feel groundless, and walk whole back into your life.
