Desert Dwellers - Deep Chill  Set

Desert Dwellers is the convergence of music producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who honed their individual crafts in the mystical deserts of California and New Mexico, long before electronic music reached mainstream. Amani and Treavor combine the raw sounds of the natural world, wrapped in dance-floor and chill-out productions; blending deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices, and cross-cultural instrumentation into a sonic incense for the mind and body. Desert Dwellers’ unique global sounds are a bridge between worlds, and their label Desert Trax has become a platform to spotlight similar alchemical artists.

Chillout set starting with mellow psydub, into more active and funky stuff and finally towards more familiar downtempo and ambient  music. Played on 27/05/2016 on the "Into Ambient" party @ Kraaienest, Gent, Belgium. that night, far from home, I was very concerned about the latest news.. the brazilian government was brought down and many problems certantly were coming.. I remembered an ayahuasca ceremony was happening in that same night at our Tipi.. and I recorded this mix trying to connect myself to the prayers that I listened in distance..

naquela noite, bem longe de casa, eu me sentia muito preocupada com os últimos acontecimentos no Brasil.. o governo tinha sido derrubado e muitos problemas estavam chegando.. Eu me lembrei que uma cerimônia de ayahuasca estava acontecendo em nossa Tipi e gravei esta mix para tentar me conectar com os rezos que eu ouvia na distância..

Allix is ​​a record label manager, musician and DJ with over 10 years of experience playing and organizing parties and festivals in Brazil and Portugal.
Over the years she has shared many sets dedicated to the practice of Yoga, Meditation and also Ecstatic Dance.. as well as sharing a dynamic meditation practice based on her shamanic meditation studies. In the electronic scene, Allix stands out in his mixes that range from chillout – covering styles such as downtempo, psychill, psybass, glitch, global bass – to psy techno and deep trance.
The combination of technique and sensitivity of her musical sets often gently guide the listener on a sensory journey focused on positive and healing sound vibrations. Qualities that led her to play at the most renowned festivals in Europe and Brazil. Allix is ​​part of the Merkaba Music label team and has coordinated the musical collective Moondance Music since 2012.
