Madloch's 3rd Avenue is delighted to present Cosas Que Me Quedo, the debut solo EP from young Argentinian producer Cocet. Hailing from Mendoza, Cocet first appeared on the label earlier this year with a track on the 5th Moods Sampler, following his production debut on the Spring Sampler via our Future Avenue sublabel. His music already shows a strong sense of identity, blending deep atmospheres with melodic detail.

The Cosas Que Me Quedo EP features three originals, including the title track alongside Plaza De Chacras and 21:00 en Verano.

The illustrious radio show and record label Beats Of No Nation is back with its first release of the Euro summer. Taking a break from the successful ‘Dance Ideas' compilations, BONN co-founder Jad & The has blessed us with a new EP titled 'Rage In Europe.'

With recent releases on Fina Records (Twist Club EP) and Slothboogie (EDITZ 3 EP), Jad has plotted a course away from his signature disco-house aesthetic to find a new sound in uncharted territory.

“Last winter I couldn’t make anything with straight drums. I needed a break from the house stuff, so I started experimenting with unconventional drum patterns and grooves.”

Adaptable sound for dancefloors, transit playlists, and home stereos, Jad & The's new EP marks a turning point for BONN as the label continues to diversify its sound.

@hugomarimusic is a name that should be new to your ears, but is not one to forget. Today we present a single from Hugo Mari’s debut record, which is to be released on the mighty @heistrecordings on 3rd December 2018. The five-track EP has three originals from the main man Hugo and two remixes on the B-side by none other than NDATL label head Kai Alcé. Previously Hugo had a string of releases as ‘Books’ on a variety of underground labels, including XVI, OMENA and his own label High Praise.  Much to our satisfaction, despite the name change Hugo is still making groovy soulful house jams. The whole EP is first class, and sits right at home on Detroit Swindles Heist Recordings. The track we have the pleasure of presenting is titled ‘Feel Ur Senses’.

The aptly titled B1, which has a repeated vocal chanting the mantra that is the title, is an emotive track that indeed tickles all the right senses. The drawn out chords have an almost sensual appeal which, when paired with the understated bassline, give you a warm and fuzzy feeling. The track continues to evolve with various elements being introduced throughout, such as different types of percussion and a rising lead synth that pairs perfectly with the established motif. Overall it is an expertly arranged piece and a big standout in the EP and as a debut for Hugo's new alias.

North London based Hugo is a busy man, between his time in the studio he’s promoting a night and running a label. Luckily he had some time to answer some questions about his release, production method and his future plans.

The record starts off with the track Buzz Lightyear, who flies us off out of the atmosphere filled beginning into the depths of the spacey synths, delays and feedback. 

Followed is the track Friends Be like, which feels like a refreshing strut down the boulevard where everyone you meet knows you and you know them but instead of saying hello you are wearing headphones and just strut down the street nodding, winking and walking in beat with true swagger. A track with confidence written all over it.

The flip side features the track Takk! which roughly translates as Thank You! in Icelandic. Maybe not roughly, but rather exactly. The track is dramatic and starts off rather stress inducing but takes a whole new direction when Moff & Tarkin adds in soothing piano chords and makes the track’s whole mood switch. Maybe its a fitting goodbye for the listener as you make your way through label boss Jónbjörn’s remix which has a very warm and feel good atmosphere, lush drums and elements that add on layers to the already great original. A very personal remix and a good ending to a great record that we hope you can enjoy.

There's a distinctly UK thread throughout 'Off Grid'; from the broken drum machine workout on 'Isit' and the acid bass line on 'New Levels' to the jungle-influenced breaks on 'High And Mighty' and 'Turnin'', Romaal Kultan has produced a compelling EP that will provoke plenty of gun fingers as well as nodding heads.
