Taking a left turn for our third release, Surface Of Sound from Singaporean producer and multi-instrumentalist Emanon is primo headphone club music crafted in her studio in the depths of Balestier Road. Working a corporate job in the day (and the occasional night), Emanon has been slowly developing her sound over the years with nearly no intention to release – this is highly personal music that we have the privilege of sharing with the world.

Focusing heavily on texture and mood, the four original cuts making up the artist’s debut offering run through a range of styles: off-kilter house, synthy ambient, broken beat, and dreamy electronics. Surface Of Sound incorporates a number of familiar influences, indulgently free from dance music trends, making for a refreshing listening experience. Backed with some crossfading and crossbreezing remixes from label co-founders Bongomann and Dexter Colt, this third release signs off on a friendly injection of Enjoy vibes.
