Andy Allo is simply a breath of fresh air. Amongst a landslide of uninspiring and simple lyrics, amongst an industry of spiritless and senseless content, Allo serves up a refreshing and serene haven of conscious musical poetry.The Cameroonian born and raised singer-songwriter is one of the music scenes exciting new budding artists who is breaking musical boundaries and creating her own soulful path.

       Allo’s formula is also simple. With only a guitar that she delicately strums, her soft sultry vocals and a dab of humor, Allo has created her own genre of music that she affectionately calls Alter.Hip.Soul- a mix of alternative, hip hop and soul. 
     In 2009 the independent artist debuted her first album UnFresh, a collection of 12 original songs about the whirlwind experience of being in love, loosing it and the continuous pursuit of happiness. The uninhibitedly honest and relatable album, which she wrote, co-produced and financed  has already generated a word-of-mouth buzz, that has some deeming her the next big thing. 

     Music has always been a part of the boundlessly creative songstress who is influenced by soul mavens such as Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Jill Scott. Even before she could speak those who knew her were mesmerized by the little girl with tight curls who at any given moment would throw her head back and let out her perfect baby scat. Allo’s passion for performing and love of music stayed with her. Allo’s roaring ambition led her to learn the guitar and take her passion to the next level. She has not put her beloved companion down since. 

     At the core of Allo’s appeal is her ability to infuse her real life experience, her humor and her infectious personality within her music. It is because of Allo’s desire to connect with her audience and her unceasing effort to create a body of work that is not only innovative but relevant- songs that are simply feel good music- that Allo continuously wins new fans.
     Allo has already created a number of songs for her sophomore album, which she promises will be a personal rendition of her life since she wrote UnFresh- honest accounts of a young woman navigating the music world. With only her guitar and a rich subtle voice the evolving artist captivates the hearts and ears of those who appreciate music for the soul. 
 
Allo likes coming up with random words like boof or phrases like "On It like a Bonnet". She has very high standard, always full of smiles and love to love and wishes all of the fans to be happy!
