"I came into electronic music through the dance. As a child, I was interested in breakdancing, the basis of which is funky groove and pronounced drums. If you analyze the material that I'm playing now, you can see the connection between rhythmic patterns and melodies in the style of the 70s. In this mix I put together a cross between languid and a bit abstruse trip-hop and instrumental hip-hop, to that the b-boys dance. Mixing slow music is such a different type of pleasure and difficulty, since over a long moment in time less happens in terms of rhythm, but more in terms of drama."
