Bringing our final UNFOLD of 2022 to a close was a four and a half hour long B2B between Voicedrone and James Newmarch.

A rare, marathon set from the pair allowed a different approach to their playing; gradually increasing their tempo, giving more time and space to explore their collections, whilst playing to a main room that stayed at near peak capacity and energy levels throughout.

FXR is an Irish born, Melbourne - based DJ and producer who’s sound is based on rhythmic vocals, deep background textures and rolling synth grooves, taking inspiration from artists such as Rodhad, Lars Huismann, and Kaiser.

With a back catalogue of releases and mixes scheduled for 2023, FXR is hoping to hit the ground running as one of Melbourne’s freshest faces on the scene.

The mix builds from stripped back minimal techno all the way up to 90’s groove from 142bpm - 145bpm, ranging from artists such as Conor Wall, P. Truss, ILLNURSE, and one of his own unreleased tracks.
