Pino started DJing during his teens with his father as the duo Bone X Zone. Currently based in Berlin he produces and DJs as a solo artist under the alias of Pino Peña, and in a duo with Mitchell Jones aka Jones&Roth. The sound of his productions always varies across genres, offering elements from techno, house and breaks while being inspired by hiphop, psychedelic and garage rock, jazz and much more! He has released on labels like Glukkon Records, Einz Records, Lo Fidelity aswell as on the constantly growing Schimmer Records, where he's also a resident. 

For LUST he recorded this vinyl set, playing a mix of old and new favorite techno tracks.

Expect more to come from him both, solo and with Jones&Roth, this year!

LUST Series #10 Pino Peña

Bassywax es un dj y productor de techno Donostiarra apasionado por los platos y el formato vinilo. Tras un pasado musical académico, es la manera de vivir la cultura techno en diferentes países extranjeros lo que le asombra y despierta su curiosidad por la figura del dj a la par que termina la carrera.

Desde comienzos del 2020, con la idea de creación del colectivo @enigma.dss, trabaja en desarrollar la escena techno local en Donostia y alrededores, acompañadola de una concepción de la pista : un lugar de reunión donde reina baile frenético, la diversidad y el respeto mutuo.

Hoy por hoy, su colección de discos la dominan vertientes modernas de un hipnótico, acelerado e inmersivo techno junto con tools y cortes entre rasgados y tribales característicos del comienzos de los 2000. Se siente cómodo en ritmos acelerados y sus pinchadas suelen rondar los +-140bpm.

Como productor, comienza publicando sus primeras referencias con la serie de releases Dundeon Bits este mismo año: un techno acelerado y centrado en el concepto dj tool, con juegos de bombos y toques guarros a lo vieja escuela.

London based DJ and Producer, SAWYL returns to the FWP Series, 18 months on from his first invite onto the show. 

Now adopting a different style, SAWYL’s sound has evolved parallel to his most recent productions. Drawing inspiration from machine driven early 00’s techno, SAWYL fuses his selections with modern groove and rhythm with this mix including tracks from Lyric, Arthur Robert, Faster Horses, and a selection of self productions.

O projeto Gabal nasceu no começo de 2016 quando Gabriel Moreira se viu apaixonado pela música eletrônica. Gabal já esteve presente como ouvinte em vários eventos em sua cidade natal, Goiânia, como Shadow [Nin92wo], Lost And Found, Garag-e [El club], Urbanóide, Dark Room, Externa [Roxy club], também teve a oportunidade de sentir e absorver estando em pistas de grandes clubes como D-edge [SP] e Warung [SC], em grandes festas como Gop Tun, ODD, Tantsa, assim como em festivais como Dekmantel, DGTL e Time Warp. 

Estar em diversos eventos, possibilitou-o absorver diferentes pistas, com diferentes vibes. E desde então, percebeu a possibilidade de se expressar através da música. Sua dedicação à arte da discotecagem tem sido constante desde então. Suas principais referências são de grandes artistas como Oscar Mulero, Ben Klock, DVS1, Jeff Mills, Rodhad, Etapp Kyle, entre outros.

Após esse primeiro contato com a discotecagem, percebeu a necessidade de dar mais um passo em prol do desenvolvimento da cena da música eletrônica de sua cidade, deu início a parceria com Marcal, seu amigo de infância, a seroto9, núcleo voltado para produção de festas independentes. Desde o começo de 2020 tem se dedicado a aprender sobre o universo da produção musical.

The "Gabal" project was born in early 2018 when young Gabriel Moreira found himself in love with electronic music. Gabal believed that in addition to being a listener and a regular attendance of electronic events in his hometown, Goiânia and also events nationals, could also convey their feelings and express themselves through music. Dedication to the art of DJing has been constant ever since, his research music is constant and has been inspired by established artists like Oscar Mulero, Ben Klock, DVS1, Etapp Kyle, Ben Sims, Kessell and others.

After this first contact with DJing, he realized the need to give one more
step in favor of the electronic music scene in your city. Inspired by Renato Ratier and Eli Iwasa, started the partnership with Marcal, his childhood friend, to "Seroto9", aimed at producing independent parties. His new plans are immersion in musical production and the growth of his projects, Gabal and Seroto9.

Their presentations are composed mainly of hypnotic, dark sounds, full of texture, in addition to drums creating an atmosphere and involving the dance floor at the same time. Beyond Techno is also a lover of breakbeats. Seeks to bring these references whenever possible for your presentations.
