Charismatic Welsh singer-songwriter Rachel K Collier presents her debut self-produced EP ‘Words You Never Heard’ on the effervescent Love & Other imprint. Swinging between styles of indie, house & experimental pop, Rachel brings an emphatic mix of honest, high-quality headphone cuts each with their own distinct flavor. 

Relating to themes of love and disconnection, the ‘Nothing Is Forever’ collaboration with DJ S.K.T boasts a clean-cut combination of gentle downtempo house with swooning vocals and a heart-rending melody, whilst jazz keys and bouncing bass pave the way before ‘Moth’ is formed upon a motif of temptation.

Next up is title track ‘Words You Never Heard’, a weightless symphony of love and emotion exploring a statement of intent with its impassioned vocal reverberation, conveying cyclical guitar and synth themes with an offbeat percussive headspace. Meanwhile ‘Squares Into Circles’ sets a grooving, full-bodied bassline under a rich and sultry vocal performance.

An EP loaded with symbolism, meaningful references an impressive range of sonics.

London based, up-coming singer/songwriter Phoebe Gorry offers up an emotive single-track composition for Love & Others latest release. Blending warm emotion and melancholic vocal hues ‘Done This Before’ takes us on a washed out journey of electronic bliss. 

Drawing influences from Jazz and Folk Phoebe's breathy voice flirts with the cloying depths of a lady day but also manages a crisp and clear passion with bolder pop-inspired moments. 

On remix duties NTEIBINT lends his experienced touch by elegantly reconstructing a slow burning 100bpm groover, met with a climbing synth line that builds into an epic crescendo through the track. Hot off the back of their ‘Can’t Explain’ EP on Love & Other, the second remix comes courtesy of Howson’s Groove with their re-textured dance floor interpretation.

2015 kept @Ambassadeurs extremely busy with a slew of EPs and his debut album – “Patterns” released on Lost Tribe Records. 

Now back in the studio recording his second album, Mark is dropping this EP in the interim to keep the fans sweet. He wrote these tracks during an escape in the autumn from the city to the countryside. The change of scenery from concrete to wilderness is reflected in the more organic sounds on this 4 tracker, which was written with the bare minimum of equipment to hand, even sampling some old cassettes that were left behind in the cottage where he was staying. 

so while a simpler and more stripped back approach was adopted on this EP, it’s still distinctively his sound neatly executed to see a great year out.
