Indeed, back in France after 15 years living in Colombia, where he was raising his three kids, this project marks a pivotal moment where Sunka wanted to break away from the Afro-Colombian style while still retaining its influences, reconnecting with his first passion: groovy electronic music, to create something truly unique.
Keeping his own journey in mind while producing his tracks, this project isn’t a reset, but it definitely is a Rebirth!

Dropping fat and funky flavours into a scorching EP release, the sizzling Sunka has woven the tropical funk of the barrio into a storming dancefloor onslaught of pure analogue bassline grooves and uplifting, sun soaked, Latin soul. Pumping euphoria keeps the dancefloor firmly anchored to it's twinkling feet while the bursts of traditional colour and Cumbian spirit push the flow deeper into a gorgeously individual sound. Hints of dubstep and bad boy junglist basses roll the rippling rays through a packed warehouse and slam back out into the throbbing street as the carnival locks down for the full on rave. Tying in elements from Colombia and Europe alike and radiating an overwhelming sense of fun,  this EP is an absolute must for both the crossover connaisseur and the dedicated raver.
