San Francisco's finest, Michael Devin AKA Mr Tea, is back on Paper with another 4 track EP of the deep, aural brilliance for those who know what's what. 

The Slow Reveal is a warm embrace of dusty, deep 4/4 grooves that is equal parts cosmic and deep soul. Main room, late nights or early mornings, it goes to the roots of 'house is a feeling'.  

Shock Therapy is a much more blissed out affair and one for the psychedelic heads. Deeper dimensions get explored on this as it weaves its hypnotic spell.

Mindsweeper goes to a darker place than its predecessors. Jerky and jacking beats with a touch of Tenaglia lock in behind whacked out synths and spaced-out rhythms for a track that goes subterranean.

Finally, Head Full of Butterflies is a stunning spaced-out soundscape, with warped loops of distorted vocals wrapping around trippy synth pads, all floating on an air of DMT.

We're delighted to share with you the absolute masterclass of a mix by the one and only Chris Wheatley. This mix has been a personal favourite of ours as it includes an arsenal of rare disco and funk blended perfectly into 70 minuets of pure groove.

Based in Bournemouth UK, Chris has been a DJ, and collecting records for 30 years, he's a resident at Bump n Hustle in the UK, and makes regular appearances at Spiritland and Up on the Roof in London. Chris has performed DJ sets all over the world and supported the likes of Dave Lee, Kenny Dope, Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco, Craig Charles, Dimitri from Paris, Nightmares on Wax and Roy Ayers. In 2023, Chris featured on the festival line-up for Love Supreme with Mr Bongo, and We Out Here.

To help feed his addiction to Vinyl, he's also a Record Dealer and can be found buying and selling at record fairs, in addition to his eBay and Discogs online store under the name 'Funkymusak'.

There is a sublime atmospheric acid on ‘Rapid Transit’, rugged Detroit synth washes and soulful, dreamy vocals on ‘The Participator’, bouncing deep house and soaring pads on ‘Memory Identity’ and finally a colorful synth workout on ‘Speramus Meliora’.

We have invited an artist who we have been waiting for for a long time. She is KATMANDÜ aka Katharina Grosse @dj_katmandu grown up in Germany but based in Barcelona.

Today I do not risk saying that KATMANDÜ for my taste is one of the best DJs of Italo disco / Disco / Electro of the local scene in Barcelona ….and Europe.
If you listen to this mix you will realize that its harmonies and its rhythm changes are very good, apart from the transitions there is no color ... it is clear that it is an experienced DJ. She is part of the Duo Magic Tundra in which they have played in many important parties such as Soundeat, Pulpada Electronica, Freedonia, La Terraza etc. besides having a program on Radio C / C. She is a very nice and very beautiful girl who has been supporting Italo disco artists for a long time, so being close to the best ... you can also see the influence and good taste she has. I am very proud to have in my city a girl who knows so much about Italo, since there are very few, so she has all my support in the industry.
Many of the songs that I listen to i have no idea where she got them but believe me that it is a brutal digger ... a real good selector.
Believe me ... she is the best.
