جدھر سے دیکھے فاروق اک دفعہ گزر جائے
نہیں شیطان کی ہمت کے بھولے سے ادھر جائے
عمر تو نام ایسا ہے منافق سن کے ڈر جائے
عمر کی منقبت پڑھ دو برائی  جل کے مر جائے
وہ جس کا روعب چھا جائے   اسے فاروق کہتے ہیں 

حدیث پاک میں نام عمر منقول ہے لوگوں
عمر باغ رسالت کا حسیں اک پھول ہے لوگوں
عمر سارے زمانے میں بہت مقبول ہے لوگوں
عمر کانام دشمن کے لیے ترشول ہے لوگوں
منافق جس سے گھبرائے   اسے فاروق کہتے ہیں 

ستاروں کے برابر نیکیاں جس کی بتاتے ہیں
جسے صدیق اکبر جانشیں اپنا بناتے ہیں
جسے فاروق کہہ کر پیار سے آقا بلاتے ہیں
جسے دنیا میں جنت کی بشارت بھی سناتے ہیں
نصیبا ایسا جو پائے اسے فاروق کہتے ہیں 

عمر فاروق کا  رتبہ صحابہ میں نرالا ہے
عمر کا عدل کا غیروں میں بھی ملتا حوالہ ہے
عمر کی جرات پیہم کے آگے خم ہمالہ ہے
عمر کے نام کا اظہر جہاں میں بول بالا ہے
جو جاری نیل کر جائے اسے فاروق کہتے ہیں
