For their 6th EP, Art Bei Ton invites the talented French DJ and producer VBK. Her six-track journey explores the borders of hypnotic and trippy techno, pushing toward the uplifting side of the genre.
 
Dynamic and deep, each piece is crafted to draw the listener into a layered sonic space, balancing intensity with rhythmic textures. The EP features a collaborative track with the Moroccan artist Zaatar and a remix from Tadan.

Opening the EP with some halftime ritualistic drum sounds, "Concern" sets the tone with a hypnotic groove that gradually unfolds into a dense and immersive atmosphere.

"This album was made using the last note of many existing tracks as the only audio material.
Original tracks were picked at random on a hard drive and include a variety of styles, authors and ages.
It's not always easy to determine what "last note" means, most of the time I considered it to be the last sound intentionally produced by a musician.
In some cases extracts were slightly extended to the last chord, pattern, and anything behind that point (applause, cracks, etc).
For a fade-out, I would amplify the gain until I could isolate the last audible note.
All the samples selected that way were used at some point, there were no leftovers.
I was allowed to crop, pitch, reverse those samples and run them through basic effects (eq, delai, etc).
The final pieces were composed between 2015 and 2018.

Following his first two releases on Few Crackles and Groovedge, ssabae returns with more stretched forms, exploring the expression of frequency epiphenomena. Borrowing from the psychology of Gestalt in its research on the perception of forms, fractal archipelago questions our psyche and its capacity to associate images and, more specifically here, sounds, while freeing itself from the production of a stable pattern.
