Saving my life

Woke up to the sound of temples tumbling down
as some people screamed i heard the others sing
took the fear away, a brand new way to pray
all could understand in these broken lands
searched for sanctity, some they followed me
all of those attached to a broken past
began to fall and die but we did not cry
saw they were made one peace had just begun

Calling on Buddha calling all saints  hearing angel choirs in the sound of the rain

Tearing down the rules that once stood on the walls and writing Jesus loves us on the bathroom stalls

Found that one church stood with thrones of sculpted wood 
that sat us all inside with all differences aside 
Through stained glass light poured in, colors soaked our skin
all our cultures meshed we became Gods made flesh

We passed our final test and we could finally rest

Tearing down the rules that say God needs a name and finding out that we are all one in the same

Its like we've died and gone to heaven but through hell we found the hallowed
Like angels that make death less of a pill too hard to swallow 
Weve disagreed now we agree that we all have the right to be who the hell we, who the hell we, who the love, and who the God we want to be
