This album is dedicated to a brighter future for our Earth and Humanity. It is a tribute to all those who have walked before us and to the next wave of guardians. May we all walk in harmony.

North Star, is the next step of sharing the diversity of my creative offerings as an Artist. Ever in the mystery and in the discovery process as I continue to unlock my potential, grow and refine my soul's authentic expression. I am in humble reverence of this music path as it consistently invites me to stretch, grow and surrender all of my concepts, attachments and doubts in such a different way than anything I've even known.

souls memories released in screams as it touched your skin

 townfolk gathered to see you bloom

what would become of those who practiced magic 
what would become of those who knew the ways of the moon
these, the memories, seeds laid in our fertile minds, 
 of tragedies, screams sounding in the halls of the time

  I was there too in that time of darkness and fire
 I clearly recall seeing your delicate face that day in the crowd

 I remember the look in her eyes as the old woman stared
 I remember the sun reflecting in her granddaughters hair,
  I remember the sweet smell of bay leaves on the wind 
carrying the prayers we made at the chalice well 
and the secrets therein    

And he was there too, watching the scene with such countenance 
this man we both knew, biblically, a lord of the old ways, 
 a figure of dreams, denouncer of craft, denouncer of providence 
adept at spinning his wheels to feed off the craze

We are living in some powerful times, with many different perspectives on what is happening and where we are going as a planet. 

Beautiful Mystery is a calling to humanity, to embrace the unknown as beautiful, powerful and benevolent. It's the framework that the direction we are going in can be what we choose it to be. That we can co-create together, as a greater community, guided by something much larger than ourselves. 

This a prayer for humanity to open its heart wider and embrace the global village. This is a prayer for our greater tribe of earth stewards to rise up and lead the way home. This a prayer for the deepest honoring and protection of the sacred. This is a prayer for universal harmony & the great remembrance to sweep across the earth. 

Many of these songs could have been birthed out of standing rock, yet were sewn over the last 3.5 years. Arriving in divine timing to continue to tell the story of our greater movement and support the rise of the peaceful warrior nation. May all who hold the earth as sacred come together in unity. May we stand as one people. May the prophecies be fulfilled. May we return to the one world tree that Black Elk spoke of and enter into the beautiful mystery...

85% of this album's songs were originally conceived when I was in my last project Suns of the Earth (ALOKA, Elah Scott & Duke Mushroom aka Tete Bero). I want to acknowledge these beautiful medicine brothers for being part of a profound chapter in this unfolding story, as original co-creators of these songs; as we release the old, and fully birth the new out into the world.

ALOKA offers a fresh new sound, answering the call of our times with an indomitable spirit. ALOKA brings a unique diversity of vocal expressions, from folk-rock singing, coupled with hip-hop flows, and harmonies. He is reminiscent of a modern day Jim Morrison meets Matisyahu. His original music is “folk hop” fused with elements of singer-songwriter, roots, reggae and world genres. ALOKA lives a life of service to the greater mission of stewarding our earth together as a community. 

A poet at heart with a love for the mystic, Aloka's writing has been deeply influenced by his hero's journey, his connection to hip-hop as a teenager and his heart songs through his soul connection to sacred world traditions, his elders, teachers & Indigenous wisdom keepers.  

Aloka collaborates with many artists ranging from world music, folk, hip-hop, medicine, roots and electronic producers. With roots originating from NYC, He now lives on Maui where he creates and also serves as a mentor, entrepreneur & activist.
