Nokia Balistikz blends club-focused sound design with experimental structures, moving between broken rhythms, heavy bass, and textural detail. Rooted in the aesthetics of the Bern underground, the album reflects a DIY approach that values rawness, and sonic unpredictability.

The production relies on a combination of analog and digital techniques, using samplers, drum machines, and synthesizers, with a strong focus on 90s sample CDs and hardware as both sound sources and creative tools. It integrates elements from Rap, Drill, Baile Funk, and experimental electronic music. Field recordings, vocal fragments, and ambient noise are layered into the compositions, with intentional roughness and looseness playing a central role in the aesthetic.

Long-time friends and kindred spirits, Audrey Danza and Andrea Dama finally lock into each other’s wavelength with Signals in Movement, their first collaborative release on Proxima. The EP moves fluidly across moods and energies: the opener is a restless acid track, unfurling in evolving 303 spirals that feel like they’re crawling out of the floorboards of the afters. The second track, Ghosts in Sync (Tech Mix), sharpens the edges into a deep techno workout with funky elements. Closing with Dolce Circuito (Sunday Mix), the pair channel blissed-out euphoria—a shimmering nod to the hedonistic warmth of Cocktail d’Amore’s marathon Sundays. The result is less a split of their individual voices and more a new hybrid language—playful, intuitive, and designed to move bodies across the spectrum of night into day.
