Critical Music welcomes back Dutch producer Waeys for his first release of 2025, following a busy year of collaborations, remixes and solo tracks.

‘If Not Me’ drones, steps and snarls its way rapidly into life with a detuned bassline stretching across a spacious two-step beat, decorated in just the right places by bars from MC Sylla.

As the name suggests, ’Backhanded Wobbler’ is… wobbly. But in a very good way, with a squelching, acidic jump-up bassline going wild across skipping drums for a track that's as sonically interesting as it is energetic.

Critical Music heavyweight Enei reunites with En:vy for the explosive four-track ‘Death Sprint’ EP.

Building on the momentum of their debut collaborative release late last year - the punishing ‘Drilla’ and ‘Sinister Life’ - the duo returns in fierce mood with another bag of brutal drum & bass rhythms.

Moving through the tough, gravelly stepper of ‘Hard Ship’, to the high-energy, shuffling drums and brutal bass-work of title track ‘Death Sprint’, this EP is built for the dancefloor. ‘Badboi’ drops a deliciously dark, lurching bassline, while closing track ‘Elixir’ surprises with a chunky, soul-tinted liquid roller.

At just 16 years old, Kallel is already proving to be a major rising star in Brazil’s Drum and Bass scene. His new single, Paradox, released on 4 Jungle Records, surprises with a heavier, more intense sound compared to his usual dancefloor-friendly style.

The track stands out with its powerful vocals and fat basslines, creating a deep, energetic atmosphere that commands the dancefloor. Kallel’s growth as a producer is evident, showcasing maturity and versatility within the DNB spectrum.

Architecture Recordings celebrates its 100th release this summer with a string of standout drops for 2025.

First up is ARX099 – a powerful new remix of Kemal’s classic ‘Animation’ from boundary-pushing producer Silent Extent. Breathing new life into the revered 1999 original (ARX005), Silent Extent reimagines it with brooding atmospherics, razor-sharp edits, and his signature attention to sonic detail. The result is a hypnotic, forward-thinking take that stays true to the track’s legacy while firmly planting it in the now.

Originally released by Kemal (aka Konflict), and later remixed by Kemal & Rob Data as ‘Re-Animation’ (ARX007), this track has long stood as a blueprint for dark, futuristic Drum & Bass. Silent Extent’s version honours that while taking it into deeper territory.
