What's good, Phans of Alphard? Here is the cover to another one of Kraftwerk's classic gems--just prior to the formation of Kraftwerk the band itself--Tanzmusik. 

On August 17, One of my great friends from Surrey, BC, Canada left me a kind compliment about my remake of Tanzmusik (the [Yamaha] XG Remix), on the playlist of my Reverbnation music profile. He writes, "When Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider produced Tanzmusik way back in 1973, they couldn't have known that anyone in the future would produced a cover to it in the manner that you've done. As a T.R.I-out (Tributes, Renditions and Interpolations), 40 years hence, Tanzmusik 2014 is a fitting tribute to one of Kraftewerk's earliest songs (before Ralf and Florian formed the iconic electronic band, of course). You outdid yourself with this one and you ought to consider promoting this in Germany and surrounding countries to get a bigger following of your music. You're only getting better with every release." Try as I might, I couldn't have said this any better myself.

After hearing the original 1973 single several times, I said to myself, "Well, I've managed to get a lot of people on Soundcloud to like Kometenmelodie 2012 in a short time; let's see if I can make lightning strike twice with Tanzmusik 2014. Here is how I did it:

The tempo has been sped up in order to match the same tempo of another one of Kraftwerk's singles. Without mentioning the single by name, I will simply hint that it comes from the band's seventh album; in fact, those who will listen to this for the first time will obviously recognize the rhythm within the first few seconds of the song. Otherwise, everything else pays homage to the original Tanzmusik of 1973.

From the Youngest and the First to the Eldest and the Last, even the most ardent and hardcore lifetime Kraftwerk fans will be moved.

The electronically produced music which adorns this particular profile is akin to Monk Fruit for the Mic, Stevia for the Speakers and--above all else--Erythritol for the Eardrums. They are harmonies that consist of the kind of sweetness that your ears would never mind being their weakness. 

As of January 2K20, yours truly Alphard One has something of a schedule--meaning that certain months of the year will have certain tracks in the spotlight playlist in rotation. The following list should provide an example, though tentative at the moment:

*January: Rod Taylor (Based on the late actor best known for his role in The Time Machine, Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, Outlaws and his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Quentin Tarentino's Inglorious Bastards)and AU (Australia Day).

*March: Kremlin Blok Party (A month long spotlight on underground music's only Soulful Soviet Synth Song--so Stop Stalin And Start Lenin Your Ears.) Hate Putin? You'll at least love the single.

*April: Ambient April and Happy Noodsta Day (An introduction to the Noodsta Saga--the backbone of Aussie Boom Bap, and Coinciding with ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand).

*May: Antaeus Envy (Beginning on Cinco de Mayo, May 5, and ending on the 31st) and Queen's Coronation (Beginning on Victoria Day--although, I'm not Canadian, I am down with May Two-Four!)

*August: AMBIENT ALERT! Ambient August, the second month of the calendar year when more tunes which exemplify my take on the Ambient genre can be found on the playlist. In the tradition of Aphex Twin, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Yasuaki Shimizu and The Kyoto Connection.  Yeah, I go there.

*October: The Komenation--In observation and acknowledgement of Breast Cancer Awareness Month(October 1-31)

*November: Post Modern Thump Month (Making Boom Bap Boom Again/Keep Boom Bap Booming)

*December: Russ Tamblyn (whose birthday falls on the 30th of that month) and Alternate Noodsta Day (All month long up until the 19th whereupon a new track based on the Noodsta Saga will be released--Wait and see,,,all I can say at this point)
