A world in turmoil — we are back with a murky, restless journey by Hospital Productions artist Lussuria. Originally planned as a prelude podcast for the cancelled ‘7 years of Total Black’ event in May 2020 at Urban Spree in Berlin the artist now filled the void with a contemplative reflection of recent shattering events. A tale of suspense, bewilderment and some sort of fatefulness is depicted in the artist’s signature musical storytelling. Even though way grittier and noisier than usual — respecting the fatality of circumstances — it drifts with this beautiful otherworldly charm through added hazy and picturesque soundscapes. A haunting escapism as humanity faces its shadow.

Lussuria is an ambient industrial project formed in 2007 by Jim Mroz. Heavily inspired by early dark ambient and industrial music, Lussuria’s atmosphere is created through a mixture of experimental sound collage, sampled loops, and deconstructed musical sections. To date, he has released several albums on Hospital Productions, has been a contributor to acclaimed Prurient albums ‘Rainbow Mirror‘ and ‘Frozen Niagara Falls‘ ( Profound Lore ) & has made compilation appearances on labels such as LIES, Pole Group, and the Berghain 09 compilation.
