Nightfang – The rising VIP: Nightfang goes to town on his VIP, the intro reminds me of those big warehouse raves from back in the day, horns at the ready, white glove gang this is your time, and then……….. it drops into the kind of futuristic new age drum and bass WID is known for, off the back of that old school intro it slips into stuttered kicks and snares giving the listener that feeling of you know a drop is coming your just unsure of when and from which direction, And then boom out of nowhere this is the music the drum and bass scene thrives on, Nightfang pushes the boundaries and you can hear his Belgium roots driving this track along, the sub bass of this track is so pure and rumbles every bone in your body once delivered through a big sound system. Those drums are for the dnb soldiers out there you can literally march to the beat on this one, It is a fact that it is literally impossible to listen to this track without pulling one bass face especially when that second bass variation is added, taking the track in a completely different direction. A no nonsense full on assault on the dancefloor, this one not only celebrates 20 releases at WID but it also celebrates the scene in which this label was born.
