It all started on a rainy, dark January day.
We felt like the weather, dark and deep under water, but after a little more than an hour there was a brief glimmer of light.
Our mood changed, we drifted more and more into the depths of the collection.
Suddenly we found ourselves in the middle of the club sound of Frankfurt, just as we would define it for ourselves today!

Flow Sessions 117 - Francois Bresez & El Marco

This 333 flow session mix started with one song. I found it last year and instantly knew — this is how I want to open the journey: with a powerful message. I’ve always loved afro house, how uplifting and joyous it is, but I also adore the deep, driving bass lines of deep house and tech house. So having the freedom of time that a 333 flow session offers felt so exciting and inspiring. It gave me permission to explore my range — to go to funky, sensual, introspective, and unexpected places. 

Corr once told me music can’t be boxed inside a genre, and I felt that so deeply while making this mix. It became clear that I don’t fit in a box either. Each track I chose moves something inside of me, expresses a different flavour of who I am, and represents something I stand for. It’s not just a flow session — it’s a reflection of the human experience. We’re not linear beings. We’re full of complexity, emotion, and contrast — and I wanted that to be felt. 

One track in particular, ‘Searching For’ by Xinobi and Lazarusman, really captures that essence. The deep house simplicity, the spoken word, the question — What is it you are searching for? — it hits me every time. It speaks to my philosophical nature and always makes me pause and reflect. I hope this mix does the same for whoever listens. That it moves you, questions you, and gives you permission to feel it all.
