L.D. is currently a Music/Fine Arts Major at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and is a former AMATEUR NIGHT @ The Apollo Theater CHILD-STAR WINNER at age 13. L.D. is a rapper,  singer, songwriter and musician. He was born on April 7, 1998 in Jamaica, New York.  L.D. was raised in the neighborhood of Jamaica , Queens. L.D. channels his “Drive” from hometown heroes like music and fashion mogul Russell Simmons, Run DMC, LL Cool J, A Tribe Called Quest, Jarule & 50 Cent. L.D.'s biggest hip-hop influence is lyrical legend Nasir Jones who is also from Queens. L.D.’s Father, is the son of two former Black Panther Party members, In fact L.D.’s grandfather was “Robert Bay”, Huey P. Newton’s (Founder of the Black Panther Party) Chief of Staff. L.D.’s father worked for Def Jam as a singer songwriter in the early 2000's. As a pre-teen L.D. would often accompany his father in studio recording sessions and video shoots for various Def Jam artists which sparked his interest in the industry.
