As an opening act for its LP series, Dalmata Daniel presents the new album by Dutch West Coast mid-veteran Roberto Auser.
Auser  has been into cinematic (or b-videomatic) electro for more than a decade now, with releases on Viewlexx, Pinkman, Gooiland Electro/Enfant Terrible and more, ranging from atmospheric and hypnotic to tight and grim, but always loaded with a vision of a storyteller. In a Dutch way, for sure. Though Second Sun is, again, an audiovisual trip, that's not the primary concept here – it's probably the purest album-like experience of Robert Auser so far, presenting most of his characteristics and sounds, and also new elements, still, all are coherent and organic parts of Auser projective language of electronics.
Second Sun starts off with a rather sinister way: a noise and industrial beat driven mood frames a subtle main theme in the background (Silent Spring), then it transforms into the highway arpeggio of the title track, just to find itself soon in the middle of tense electro by the third one. Auser unfolds some new shades here: the melancholic echoes and vocals of new school American industrial wave (Fabric of Time), the voice of cold despair returns throughout the album (Gentrified), it even embraces some vocoder pop in the midtempo electro of Place With No Name.
Auser keeps the distance from techno in an elegant way, yet at some points touches the core of it. Passes through some well-crafted rhythmic noise with Edge of Reason (echoes of Container there) to reach an acidic club climax with the old school electro of Third Place and the ebm-techno of Entangled. Roberto Auser's post-industrial-cyber-beat-soundscapes, in the end, dissolve into three minutes of contemplative electronica: it gives us the time and space, and that's the moment when the Second Sun finally comes.

FR: Le label toulousain Ritmo Fatale (@ritmofatale) nous offre le choc des titans de l'année 2021. D'un côté Hirschmann (hirschmann-music), bordelais résident sur l'excellente Ola Radio (@ola_radio),proche de tplt (@tpltcollective) et patron de Eclipse Collective, de l'autre Mimmo (@mimmo-assi-nf) rennais et boss du beau label Nocturnal Frequencies (@nocturnal-frequencies-2016). 
Un choc des titans né grâce au confinement, propice à l'ebullition des cerveaux et des collaborations improbables et pourtant tellement évidentes. 
En résulte un split L.P sensuel qui nous prend au tripes. 
Le morceau de Mimmo que l'on a choisi de vous faire découvrir en est un bon exemple. Sombre et sensuel, on retrouve le groove langoureux qu'Hirschmann et Mimmo affectionne tant. Brutalité et soumission s'opposent à la douceur et la sensualité dans ce morceau qui fait durer le plaisir.

On one side Hirschmann, Bordeaux's based producer, resident on the excellent Ola Radio (@ola_radio), close to tplt (@tpltcollective) and boss of, on the other side Mimmo (@mimmo-assi-nf) rennes based and boss of the beautiful record label Nocturnal Frequencies (@nocturnal-frequencies-2016). 
A clash of the titans born with the lockdown, suitable for the excitement of the brains and unlikely collaborations and yet so obvious. 
It results in a sensual L.P that gets to our guts. 
Mimmo's track that we chose is a good example. Dark and sensual, we identify the languorous groove that Hirschmann et Mimmo  love so much. Brutality and submission contrast with softness and sensuality in this track that makes our pleasure last.

them, operating since the early aughts and known for their work in dub and minimal techno.
'Bait' ventures into new territory for the project, delivering infectious strains of body music, new beat, industrial and beyond coupled with soul-stirring vocals which quickly dig beneath the skin. The release is
about everyday manipulation, soft power and persuasion. We exist in a world in which corporate management techniques are deployed in our everyday lives, nudging each other for short-term gain, slowly hallowing out any lasting trust while ultimately all being crushed by a hyper-capitalist system.
From the opening synths of the title track to the ominous ending notes of 'Night Vision', we also uncover funky grooves and diabolical floor shakers which remind us of something from the past but exist
perfectly in this corrupted new world. As is customary, the striking cover art was photographed by Tomaso Lisca, and it’s a fitting piece for the record, depicting a tantalizing well-oiled machine, all while
something menacing lurks under the hood.

Wenn Al Pride stattfindet, dann verliert sich selbst ein Roboter des 21. Jahrhunderts im Liebesrausch und stürzt sich in ein Farbenmeer aus erdig warmen Tönen. Darin treibt er unbeschwert, getragen von verspielten Strömen aus überaus eingängigen, prägnanten Melodien. Gleichzeitig überfluten ihn Wellen aus intensivem, eigenständigem Sound, poppig und bewegt von einer Folk- und Blues-Note in ihrer wärmsten Form. Daraus taucht er auf, mitten im farbvollen Sturm der Gefühle und menschlicher als je zuvor.

Al Pride haben in der Schweizer Musiklandschaft mit ihrem Debut ‚Hello Blue Light’ in den letzten eineinhalb Jahren für Furore gesorgt. 
Nun wartet ein neues Album. Grösser, reifer, intensiver. Produziert wurde ‚Another Color’ von Lars Christen und Luk Zimmermann (Lunik). Die Band behält darauf ihr ‚Händchen für perfekte Popsongs’ (SRF, 2012), melodiös und eingängig aber keinesfalls anspruchslos. Geprägt durch zwei unverkennbar und wunderbar harmonierende Leadstimmen, gebettet in gefühlsgeladene Musik, welche genauso direkt unter die Haut wie ins Ohr geht. 
Ein Album von grossen Songs mit Hitpotential und ebenso grossem, authentischem Sound, welchem die Gastauftritte der Ukulele von James Gruntz ebenso gut stehen wie die erfrischend clever eingesetzten Bläser.
