Switchy Dub draws his inspiration from some French Dub pioneers such as High Tone and Zenzile, as well as the Hardtek scene in order to deliver a powerful sound as part of the Electro-Stepper movement with Panda Dub, Mahom, Ondubground and more… The dubmaker from Paris, Switchy Dub, released ‘God Vs Evil’ for free download on Culture Dub Records in 2018, eleven-track combining Electro-Dub and Hard Stepper featuring Monkey D, Jennifer Paulos, Imanytree, Lofti and Ultra-K! A first album which brought the Parisian producer on the international Dub scene!

Like a rebirth, this opus is intended to be more airy and is distinguished by its heavy and intoxicating sounds. The tone changes, the music is more thoughtful, the sound is more enriched. C'est le grand retour de Switchy Dub sur le label Culture Dub Records, qui, tel un phoenix, après la sortie en 2018 de l'album "God vs Evil" qui explosait déjà les frontières du style, suivi de plusieurs Eps en compagnie de Dirty Live Dub, déboule avec "Re-Birth", transcendant une nouvelle fois le genre en mêlant des sonorités Electro, Dub, Stepper et Bass Music, pour six titres en libre téléchargement bien évidemment !

Producteur de délire schizophrénique heureux et d'abstract bad-trip-hop, Al Safoom cherche à déplaire au premier venu. Associable par essence et monstre de la nuit, il ne sort de son antre poussiéreuse qu'en cas d'extrême nécessité, pour aller dénicher du vinyle, un paquet de pâte ou du vieux tam au coin de la rue. Multi-instrumentiste, Al Safoom nous emmène dans un monde ou rythmiques accidentées et instruments se mêlent pour donner naissance à un tout nouveau genre entre trip hop, lofi, boom bap et jazz. 

Son premier opus « YES PAPY » (2018) est une première entrée en matière dans l'univers du beatmaker. Sombre et délicate, la beat-tape nous fait voyager entre fées et dragons, angoisses nocturnes et insomnies. Toujours en recherche de profondeur sonore, Al Safoom à mis le travail de texture au centre de la composition de « YES PAPY ». 
La beat-tape à été utilisée par l'artiste sculpteur Pablo Reinoso pour illustrer son travail pendant la FIAC Hors les Murs 2018.
