I decided to creatively remaster some albums and tracks that have already been released.  

A selection of tracks from Wish You Were Here, 1975

With this remist, I basically wanted to use two alternate versions of two of the tracks (recorded during the sessions, 1975), incorporating them into the album. These two tracks were released on the Wish You Were Here Experience Edition cd, 2011. 

The first is a version of Have A Cigar with Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters singing lead vocals instead of Roy Harper who is guest vocalist on the original release. This alternate version also has an extended guitar solo.

The second is a version of Wish You Were Here which I feel is better in sound and arrangement than the released version, also features Stéphane Grappelli on violin. 

The alternate version of Have A Cigar has a fade out, to silence. In the released version of the album the track decreases rapidly in volume to a washy synth sound towards the end of the track. It’s then put through effects to give the effect of the audio being heard through a car radio. Wish You Were Here then begins also in reduced volume, coming to full level after its intro.
In the intro we can hear someone sniffing (barely audible), the idea being that they’re sitting there listening to the song.

With the outtake track I followed the same idea to a certain extent, including creating a washy synth sound to replicate the original, but when there’s the switch to the radio sound I also put a reverb on the mix to give the effect of a warehouse, i.e. the idea of a worker or workers in a corporate warehouse listening to the track. 
I added samples of radio static and a variating radio frequency sound (replicating the original) from effects on the the moog, through to the intro of Wish You Were Here. 
Towards the end of Wish You Were Here I created some wind sound using the moog, earlier into the track, again following on from the concept in the released album, later allowing the original wind sound to take over where it came in.

I also recorded a sniff (of my own) and some background sounds, replicating the original.

For the remist I retitled tracks,
