As a thank you for a wonderful Gaggalacka festival at the end of last summer, here comes the next musical journey for you: A Purple Playground. It consists of eleven tracks bringing you the feeling of the festival sound from noon until night plus three marvelous downbeat tracks as a soft and emotional closing. Many of the involved artists have already played at previous Gaggalacka parties and some promising new names have been chosen for this compilation. Enjoy this journey and hope to see you all again when the next Gaggalacka calls from the 5th to the 7th of September, 2014. Here is the brand new album from Astral Waves, aka DJ Zen.
Altar Records offers you a trip to the land of the Thousand and One Nights with "La Danse de la Lune".
This album is ultimately organic with a lot of instrumentation. Almost all of the instruments were recorded in the studio between 2015 and 2020, specifically to create the unique and groovy vibe of this album.
You may recognize some song names here, already released in compilations.
The work on this album was considerable: it took 5 years to achieve it in order to be satisfied with the results...It played in Astral Waves live sets at outdoor festivals in Canada and Europe and received many positive feedback. Gaudi really liked "Lullaby for the Godchild" at Samsara 2018.
All the thanks go to the fabulous artists who put hands in the dough: Project Æolia on the flute, DJ Prahladji aka Patrick Bernard and Lydia on vocals, Rachel on the flute on track # 5, Elea for the vocals and instruments in the remixes as well as Sufi's Life and Merlin also for their composition work. A big thanks to Amani Friend from Desert Dwellers for his trust and patience as well as Louis from Suduaya for his amazing guitar play on track # 5.
