Cabeiri takes listeners on a journey beyond the constraints of time with their new album 'Beyond Time'. Blending psychedelic, chill and futuristic electronic styles, the album creates a unique sonic world that feels both timeless and ahead of its time. 

Opening track "Citizen" eases listeners into the album with soothing ambient textures before launching into a driving beat and shimmering synthwork that sets the tone for the album's fusion of organic and electronic elements. Tracks like "Metavasis" and "War of Species" showcase Cabeiri's skill at crafting infectious, danceable tracks within a psychedelic framework.

A walk through the realms of psychill is the latest EP “Rainbow Travel” by Thenaria, while it goes on to embrace the listener cocooned with fine ethereal soundscapes and intricate rhythms. The self titled EP encompasses six masterpieces, which definitely prove Thenaria's talent in making music not only touching the soul but really ascending the level of the genre.

Right from the get-go, as the very first note unravels, it's clear that "Rainbow Travel" isn't just an aural escapade but an odyssey. Each track unwraps as if it were a chapter in a book, unique in setting, mood, and narrative. Then, taking all that on board and using lush synths and ambient pads over a subtle bassline, steady but driving, to carry the whole EP; together yet letting each have its own light.

A warmly comforting sound one hears on the first track, vivacious as much as caressing in its melodic composition, blended with soft, caressing percussion. One is tempted to invite the listener on the journey at the very onset. Music gets more intricate and interesting as the EP progresses, with each track adding new layers of sound and music to the whole, making it a superb listen. The middle tracks bring in more rhythmic quality with grounding yet liberating beats carrying the imagination a distance with the body.
What distinguishes "Rainbow Travel" is the way they can combine traditional psychill elements with modern, fresh sounds and techniques. Skillfully manipulating electronic and organic sound through Thenaria, he blurred the binary boundaries of the digital and natural worlds, opening a space in which the listener can explore his own consciousness, the universe beyond.

The EP closes then with the final two tracks completing a journey and returning again to the stiller, contemplative moods of the opening. This is best summed up in the closing track, which almost feels like a tender goodbye to the listeners, reminiscing on the beauty of that journey and calling them back when their soul might be in need of comfort. "Rainbow Travel" is more than an EP—it's an experience. A reminder of how powerful music is in taking one on a journey to different worlds, linking one with their inner being, evoking a sense of wonder and exploration. This has turned out to be a real masterpiece that should appeal to any lover of psychill and electronic music, taking them onto quite a captivating, if not a transformational, musical journey.

The moving atmosphere of ambient is the trapes of emotions that are fulfilled through "Sky" by Dreams in Rooms. The 12-track album reels listeners into a pell-mell of auditory journeys that incorporate lush guitars and floating pads, which place the whole affair in a setting expansive yet strangely intimate.

From the first few notes, the listener can tell that Dreams in Rooms has paid an excruciatingly close attention to the minute details in making "Sky," and he has that innate sensibility which allows ambient music to stir the soul. While individually they are self-contained worlds, the compositions for the album are heavy and multi-layered to the point that they conjure an illusion of volume and complexity conducive to re-listenings. Each track is a world in its own right, carefully constructed, yet the album flows perfectly from one into each respective individual world in turn, making the whole into a truly immersive listening experience.
One of the major hallmark features across the album is its use of lush guitars. They do more than back up the song melodically, and often the guitars drift in and out of the texture much of the time affected with treatments that blur the line between organic and electronic sound. The guitars are used inventively and add a warmth and an organic quality that serves to ground the ethereal pads in a way that feels comforting, familiar. Another hallmark of the album is the floating pads, which lift the music into the realm of pure ambiance. A soundscape that listeners can become a part of, as the full, flowing harmony from high, clear, and pure to deep and resonant is a giant soundscape of which the listener is part. The pads are most typically evocative of the feeling of floating, with the listener suspended from the worries of the world down below and just drifting above it all.

There's a crossroad of emotion in "Sky," with the center of it almost sitting on a knife edge between sadness and positive feeling, between thinking in and expanding out. The album has a meditative quality, encouraging listeners to slow down and reflect, to find peace in the moment. It's music that could fit the stage for a quiet night under the stars; from the time the morning sunrise starts to come out quietly, to the soundtrack of a moment of isolation to seek consolation and clarity. Sonically, Dreams in Rooms brings out clear design and sound mixing. The sound of it is so clear and open; each element is allowed to shine - from the merest whisper of a synth pad to the rich harmonics of the guitars. The balance between electronic and organic elements is being handled just perfect—it does not seem like "Sky" is torn between the two.

As a result, "Sky" by Dreams in Rooms is an excellent ambient chillout full-length album which can create an aural sanctuary for a listener. The result is a blend of lush guitars and floating pads, offering something at the same time intimate and expansive, almost inviting one to discover one's own inner landscapes. It's an album where ambient power is seen taking the listener through many dimensions, a power through which one is able to channel infinite experiences and feelings, and something that should be listened to by connoisseurs, novices of the genre, and ambient music lovers in general.

"Inside the Poison" by Fluxsense is an exuberant excursion into the inner catacombs of psychill music, sticking to its 4/4 beat architecture like glue as it wrestles with the listener for supremacy, all the while allowing intoxicating and ethereal soundscapes to attempt to lull them off course. The EP lays bare Fluxsense's adept knack at weaving hypnotic rhythms with a rich, atmospheric depth that makes for an immersive experience and feels at once insular and wide-reaching.

From the opening of the track, it is clear "Inside the Poison" is designed to transport the listener through a kind of landscape where time seems to contract and stretch again, held down by the steady beat and sometimes intricate lush textures. Everything in its making is of top quality, carefully positioned in order that every aspect of all the sensories in the audience's being is absolutely riveting without boundary.

Adept at blending organic sounds with the finesse of electronics into their music in such a way that it appears teeming with life, it is Fluxsense. Throughout the EP, there is a moving theme of darkness against light, imprisonment against freedom. It explores musically with an equal measure of depth emotionally.

It's this kind of dynamic range that assures "Inside the Poison" really never turns monotonous, more an engaging exploration of the spectrum of human experiences mirrored through sound.

It is in standout tracks, though, where the deep driving bassline is counterbalanced by airy, celestial synths in a contrast that somehow both grounds and uplifts. Add to that subtle vocal samples, even traditional instruments twisted through electronics, and it’s music with layers both complex and rich. More than sound per se, "Inside the Poison" throws the listener into an odyssey full of reflection and self-discovery. In that aspect, the maestro makes sure to pull it off with the essence of the genre Psychill at heart and yet pushes it into a more progressive kind of feel, keeping things fresh with every material. Yoga, Meditation, and body-mind awareness have finally taken root in the West. People are becoming deeply passionate about their health and are diving in. And with this growth we’ve seen the emergence of a new genre of music that caters to this practice, with inspiring compositions from bands like Desert Dwellers. Altar record’s latest release is a homage to this sound, and a chance for you to get back to your center and breath.


Yoga Temple is the result of a chance meeting between Astral Waves (aka DJ Zen) and the lovely and talented Aurelie Morgane (aka AEolia) at a festival in 2013. Struck by their common love of meditation, yoga, and beautiful open spaces, the two decided to team up at Altar headquarters. A magnificent view of the forest served as their principle inspiration, and helped give birth to this project which is set to be released around December 2015.


With track lengths that average twenty minutes, this is the perfect soundtrack for relaxation, letting go, giving or receiving a massage, yoga, meditation and just generally feeling great. The music is spiritually uplifting, warm and enveloping.


Aurelie plays several flutes including the Indian Bansuri. An experienced, expressive solo player, her proficiency allows her to tune in and completely improvise. DJ Zen takes care of the production side with pads and synthesizers, with lush sounds that unfold organically and give the listener an incredible sense of space. The compositions flow like a river, ever shifting, yet on course, allowing you to travel to places that you alone hold the key.


May you enjoy many blissful moments, and much happiness on your journey to your inner temple.
