Veteran Sydney-via-London selector Frames steps up for Lost Sundays Sessions 009.

Recorded on the eve of Sydney’s release from lockdown, the Session is 80 minutes of tight grooves and euphoric left-turns targeted to soundtrack your transition back to the dance floor.

Tom VR, COEO, Four Tet, Peyote Dreams, Shanti Celeste and more feature amongst others. In Frames’ own words:

“This mix was recorded last Sunday, on the eve of restrictions easing. After 14 months locked down in London, followed by another 4 soon after arriving back in Sydney, I’ve been wound like a spring to get out of the house. This mix definitely channels that energy, and the opening track, ‘351 Nation’ by Germany’s Giraffi Dog (great artist name!), radiates a sense of freedom and release.

After nearly two years away from my last club show, I’ve made up for lost time by including as many new artists I’ve discovered as possible. Special shout out to Kareem Ali, who’s latest track ‘Black Futures’ (1:01:00) is a typically classy affair. ‘Lucky’, by London’s Cameo Blush (46:45) is also a fantastically off-kilter club record worth your time.

Think global, support local - Melbourne’s mighty Sleep D make an appearance with ‘Pearlescent Skyline’ (04:30) taken from their phenomenal ‘Rebel Force’ album. And I’ve also included two of my own originals (‘Love Domain’ at 12:00 and ‘Dort Tape’ at 27:00) after a busy 18 months in the studio.

Finally, on the banger tip, keep an ear out for LCY’s ‘Teeth’ (35:30) and Hugo Massien’s ‘Outer Space Jam’ (1:10:00) - two massive acid-laced club weapons that deserve to be heard on a big system. Bring it on!” - @framesmusic

As a member of hip-hop act, Mosé + The FMLY, he toured nationally and internationally, eventually giving in to his childhood love of house music.
