French and British up and coming artists Gamys & Alex Moretto met at Point Blank Music School where they were both studying Music Production & Sound Engineering. Being friends for over a year and sharing the same passion for House music, they've always wanted to work on a track together. Control was born back at the time of lockdowns and covid tests where both artists felt the need to express the way they were feeling at the time. Starting from that vocal sample 'I'm loosing Control' that resonated with how they were feeling at the time regarding of covid, the 2 artists starting to work together on this track in Gamys' previous home studio in Shoreditch, London. In about 3 nights of work, the idea of the track was there. Even though they've worked with a singer afterwards to re-record the vocal, Gamys & Alex decided to keep the original vocal sample that has this energy to it and blends well between Gamys' funkiness and Alex's techy aesthetics.

Leeds’ finest imagines you all in the nip with his latest super-sexy, disco throbber  ‘Get Naked’ EP…

We get right into this luscious release with the eponymous ‘Get Naked’ – an unstoppable force of cowbell, disco slap bass and 4x4 beats that blinds you with nipple tassels and glitter. Mr Buchan expertly weaves in a raunchy guitar riff with high end synth stabs, whilst the ultra-filthy vocal screams at you to “get naked”. A wonderfully shameless dressing gown opener revealing all of this disco royalty’s talents. 

Track 2 is the fist-pumping, 116bpm chunk-a-thon  ‘Fight The Feeling’. The bassline pops right out at you from the start – dominating proceedings whilst the looped vocals slowly work their way slowly into your brain. The glorious housey piano break midway through will have you throwing your hands in the air like a youngling. 

Next up is ‘Oh Yeah – a delightfully squelchy and groovy 106bpm sauce pot that wears you like a chin strap whilst marching into town. Trumpet fanfares are the order of the day here, complimented by a wicked 80s style bassline and super-catchy guitar riff. It’s a melting pot of what makes Andy Buchan the legend that he is; bold, different, quirky – all the hits are on display here. A deadly summer hit incoming. 

Finishing off this exceptional EP we have Brighton maestro Chewy Rubs applying his twisted kaleidoscopic lens to the EP’s title track ‘Get Naked’. The sonic boom of the beats fills your ears like hot cotton wool. The bass is a powerful, throbbing disco take down which bites eagerly at your feet whilst a storm of vocals and loops swirl around your head. Exceptional stuff from a Hot Digits favourite. 

The ‘Get Naked’ EP is timed perfectly for the upcoming warmer days with a quadruple of diverse tracks that will tickle everyone’s fancy and have feet tapping everywhere from kitchens, bedrooms and festival tents alike.
