Great band - still have the tape somewhere. Didn't they become Atomic Beat Squad later on - would love to hear that too...

I had this on tape, back in Brisso in the late 90's - and recall a great party once somewhere in St. Lucia where you guys played. The short, sweet gig had us all dancing, and left the house bouncing off its old stilts. Inspiring!

Tainted Violets - Fragile Moments

Alternate Parallel Reality is a sonic manifestation of interests in existential/post-modern philosophy, abstract expressionist art and art-house cinema.

Sean Cooper:
"I’ve been working under the moniker of Alternate Parallel Reality since 2005. Before that, I used other pseudonyms like Crash Symbol and Hammerhaus. I released an ambient album under my own as plain old Sean Cooper in 2003 and spent three years before that as Sean X, writing “dark techno”. Before that, I spent years playing guitar and bass in various bands – right back to high school.

My releases are rare and usually given away. I am not manufacturing for a target market. I write when I’m inspired and hope that there’s others out there who appreciate the frequency that APR generates." 

Sean uses a guitar synth and found voice samples, with an array of hardware and software to create sounds that range from psychedelic to industrial breakbeats - all attempting to poignantly reflect the human condition.
