Professor Galacticus and Captain Frictus, accompanied by a horde of Ziguychoulaïs, come back from their interstitial experimentation laboratory with a debunking active substance: Vitamyte B12
Vitamyte B12 is the result of three years of work, research and various investigations, which synthesize through this fourth release the multiple influences explored lately by the musical android Cosmyte.

A music that borrows as much from the classical codes of the ancestral psychedelic music of Goa, from its acidic melodic lines very typical of the machines used by Professor Galacticus; as from the more modern influences of downtempo psybass and drums/bass whose groove sometimes approaches hip-hop; and is characterised by the explorations of the acoustic instruments of Captain Frictus such as the Handpans which have a central place in the compositions of the group.

This album is a great place for collaborations. In addition to the eternal and historic Bichinia on flute and Divanovic on vocals, there are two Argentine artists (Fran The Lobster and Agustin Moroni) and two artists from the Hadra Alter Visions label (Lakay and Yoy Project). These collaborations reflect the values of the Cosmyte project, between explorations of new musical regions and cultures and the weaving of close links within the label for family collaborations with the same musical influence.

The result is a rich album, which offers a certain stage of maturity for the group, with a diversity of influences, the very essence of the project, while asserting a guiding line and an artistic identity that is increasingly clean.

Vitamyte B12 est le fruit de trois ans de travail, de recherche, et d’investigations diverses, qui viennent synthétiser à travers cette quatrième sortie les multiples influences explorées ces derniers temps par l’androïd musical Cosmyte.

Adil Smaali et Lakay, deux artistes aux parcours riches et variés, unissent leurs talents pour donner naissance à une musique qui rend hommage aux traditions tout en s’ouvrant à la modernité. Avec leur projet Elements Of Baraka, ils célèbrent la puissance spirituelle de la musique Gnawa et du rituel soufi de la hadra à travers un premier EP profondément ancré dans les racines marocaines. Ce voyage sonore acoustique, est une véritable ode aux valeurs spirituelles et aux sonorités mystiques de la hadra, enrichie par des touches subtiles de dub, de musique électronique et de rythmiques inspirées de la progressive trance. Ces influences modernes, savamment dosées, apportent une dynamique nouvelle, tout en respectant l’essence sacrée de cette tradition musicale.

Adil Smaali and Lakay, two artists with rich and varied backgrounds, have combined their talents to create music that pays tribute to tradition while embracing modernity. Le chaman est une personne considérée par sa tribu ou son groupe comme l’intermédiaire entre les humains et les esprits, il a la capacité d'interpréter les signes et de communiquer avec l'au delà au nom de sa communauté. Prêtre, sorcier et guérisseur il peut se mettre en transe lors de rituels mystiques afin d'entendre les messages donnés par les esprits, souvent accompagné de visions il interprète ces messages permettant aux personnes vivant cette expérience d'entamer un processus de guérison.
La musique, aussi magique soit elle, peut permettre à un individu ou un groupe d'individu d'entrer dans cet état de transe, leur permettant de voir ces messages, de les interpréter et de se projeter sur ce chemin du mieux être.

« Shamanik Experience » sortie début 2025 fait référence à cette expérience chamanique que l'on peut vivre dans différentes tribus. De cette façon Lakay invite ses auditeurs au lâché prise, oubliant ses tracas du quotidien, afin de se laisser porter par ces vibrations, entrant dans un état de conscience éveillé, nous permettant de ressentir nos messages intérieur, de les comprendre et de soigner les problèmes que nous pourrions rencontrer.
Que ce soit par la danse, par l'écoute ou juste en laissant voyager notre esprit, ce nouvel ep nous incite à entrer dans une transe profonde afin de vivre cette expérience chamanique et tout les bienfaits qu'elle peut nous apporter.

Le premier titre "Shamanik Experience" commence donc par des flutes, des tambours et des chants chamanique, nous faisant entrer doucement dans cette expérience mystique. Puis prennent place diverses mélodies de guitare et de trompette sur des synthés psychédéliques et un rythme dubby saccadé, laissant place à un doux voyage pour notre esprit, nous faisant entré progressivement dans la danse.

Le deuxième titre "Psychedelik Mind" est lui plus punchy, le sueng thailandais toujours aussi méditatif nous offre une intro colorée mélangée aux flutes et chants de mantra hindou. Le voyage chamanique prend donc place sur un beat dub - techno, nous confortant dans cette danse bénéfique pour notre corps et notre esprit. Puis entre la basse groovy et le skank dubby portant le sueng thai sur une mélodie ascensionnelle nous permettant de danser tout au long du morceau.

Le dernier titre "Bass Kulture" fait référence à cette culture où la basse joue un rôle primordiale, en interaction avec le rythme du coeur "the beat of the heart", cette culture nous pousse à s'unifier, se battant contre la guerre "push agains the war" en communiant tous ensemble. Sur un rythme dub to trance, les chants de mantra hindou et de chaman indien appelés icaros, flirts avec les mélodies de la trompette permettant de rétablir l'équilibre entre le monde terrestre et le monde spirituel. Par cette expérience chamanique, comme l'illustre le visuel de cet ep, nous avons le pouvoir de transcender nos démons intérieurs et de les transformer en une énergie positive pure et colorée, les projetant devant nous tel un chemin à suivre pour notre avenir.

Vous l'aurez donc compris, ce nouvel ep n'a pas fini de nous faire danser et rêver à toutes heures de la journée et de la nuit.

Cet album représente aussi un changement pour le duo qui, après quelques passages dans les studios de Transubtil, a troqué son live machines contre une production MAO bien travaillée, toujours agrémenté des chants posés par Yoanna.
