After huge success in their inaugural full year, Alteza returns with the first release of 2020, drafting in Hi Profile for his debut release on the imprint with ‘The Ghost’, an offering which is set to appeal to both psy-trance and trance fans alike, as the track looks guaranteed to cement itself as a certified anthem in the coming months, and propel both Alteza and Hi Profile’s burgeoning reputations in the process. 

The heavily-reverbed vocal is present from the beginning, instantly giving the track an ominous and reflective tone, quickly joined by a trademark heavy kick. A brief respite comes in the form of an anthemic cacophony of synths which create a huge sound space, before making way for the first drop. The beat toys with a fast-paced, bubbling bassline which pushes the track forward, full of intensity-switching variations. The main elements are interspersed with interesting percussion and glitchy effects, which ensure that the track continues to evolve throughout. ‘The Ghost’ is made with one sole intention, to destroy dancefloors. 

With previous releases on labels such as Perfecto Fluoro and Black Hole, Hi Profile is no stranger to this world, and with his debut on Vini Vici’s Alteza, he is set to add to an impressive list of people already supporting his music, such as label bosses Vini Vici, Astrix, Ace Ventura and Warp Brothers to name a few.
