Description: Mainly inspired by one of my all time favorite composers, Yuji Nomi, the man behind the music of Nichijou and several Studio Ghibli films. Of course, to say only these are inspired by his work is a little silly, as I find a lot of my pieces drawing from his beautiful ideas and melodies.

"Once upon a moonlit Halloween night in the small, mystical town of Silverbrook, there lived a young man named Wyvren. He was known far and wide for his peculiar fascination with the supernatural.

Wyvren wasn't like the other townsfolk. He lived on the outskirts of Silverbrook, in a cozy little cottage surrounded by ancient, whispering trees. The cottage was adorned with all things mysterious and magical – potion bottles on the shelves, crystal balls on the tables, and a library filled with books about mythical creatures.

As the leaves began to fall and the Halloween preparations started, Wyvren's excitement grew. He had always dreamed of encountering a real werewolf, and this year, he was determined to make it happen. He believed that on the most enchanted night of the year, when the veil between the living and the supernatural was thinnest, he could summon a werewolf to his cottage and, with any luck, cuddle with one."

I've had this riff on the back burner for a long time. I figured sitting down and actually recording it would be a good way to ease myself into the challenge. The chord progression in the second half is an anime classic with a small twist.

I wanted to work with clean tones today, so this one is a lot more relaxed. Most of my focus here was on the melody as I tend to get into "riff-land" a little too much. The synth layered under the lead guitar really helped with the atmosphere I was going for.
