The Altus Project is a collaborative production team consisting of Lee M Kelsall, Thee Cool Cats and Sean Roman. Individually they are signed to some of the most cutting edge labels in house music. Toolroom, Get Physical, Universal – Island UK, Nervous, Hot Waves, CUFF, and Jeudi Rec.

Altus Project are signed exclusively to Kevin Saunderson’s legendary label KMS.

Sharing similar musical roots and all working closely on the same booking agency it was a natural progression that all four artists would work together on a collaborative project. After all artists initially signed solo tracks on KMS and formed a close relationship with KMS A&R head Dantiez Saunderson.

KMS will serve as a platform for the group’s production. Look out for remixes, EPs and an Album dropping in 2015 from the crew.

This project has only just started and showcases are already in line in the UK, Canada and Mexico

Altus Project is happy to announce a new EP from label bosses Thee Cool Cats & Lee M Kelsall.

Between them this collaborative outfit have had big hits on labels like Toolroom, Hot Waves and CUFF, but now go it alone with their own great new imprint, which is sure to offer up many hard hitting tracks going forward. 

Up first is Thee Corner. Featuring a classic vocal sample from a fine pop hit, the beats all around it make for deep and groovy listening. The bassline is rich and fat and rolls uninterrupted and this one is sure to be massive this summer. 

The remix comes from London’s own Vanilla Ace & Chad Tyson and is an even deeper house roller with natty bass stabs, slick percussion and a carefully treated vocal. With plenty of bounce in its bones and drive in its chords, this EP is sure to win the crew many more fans as they head off for a busy summer of gigs and label showcases.

For its fifth release, the trend setting Altus Project label pulls together its best talents for a new multi-artist compilation that is chock full of house and tech greatness. Entitled Altus All Stars, label bosses Lee M Kelsall, Thee Cool Cats and Sean Roman pull together seven tracks that are all set to be massive club hits. As well as the bosses themselves, the compilation features Krown City, The DC, Devv, Simon Jain and NRKY & Numbers and will be available on all platforms. 
Opening up with the freaky tech house vibes and future synths of boss Sean Roman’s ‘Black Porcelain’, the release touches on a deep and bumpy house remix by Flymo & Replay of Lee M Kelsall’s ’Love Rouge’ as well as the slick beats and haunting atmospherics of Krown City’s ‘Fit To Behave.’
Super fresh and contemporary throughout, this fine selection then goes to Simon Jain’s heavyweight bit of high pressure house ‘All Digital’ and NRKY & Numbers’ spooked out and raved up ’50 Buddhas’. Last but not least, The DC’s ‘Playin The Fool’ layers up colourful neon chord stabs, wavy beats and seductive grooves and Devv closes things down with ‘Keep It Clean’, which is indeed crispy and trippy thanks to some loopy bass down low and sci-fi melodic sounds up top. 
This is a fine statement that proves the label knows exactly how to tap into the hottest underground talents and get the very best from them.
