Debut single 'EVELINE' by ALUMNA. Second single coming soon. Album coming 10-10-14.

In April 2011 ALUMNA, while studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, started writing - and actually finishing - her own songs. She'd sit in her attic-room and with the help of different kinds of software and multiple keyboards, guitars, interfaces and effects, she'd write complete songs, based on a sound, a moment - a sphere if you want. The demo-recordings included drums, bass, guitar, keys, different sort of effects, woodwind instruments etc. and were pretty detailed. She recorded home-made clips to be able to share her visual aspect of music as far as possible. Her goal is to combine different forms of art, with music as guidance.

This last summer she decided it was time to properly record those demos. She rented a farm and along with a producer and a drummer, after building a studio together, they recorded 10 tracks, of which keys, guitar, all vocals and some bass were played by her, herself. Also producing-wise she was distinctly present in the process. 

Also the artwork, thus far, is made by ALUMNA. "I try to do as much herself for different reasons; in the first place because I likes doing it, in the second place to save money for the actual recordings of the music and in the third place because I wants everythin to be linked with each other and by doing everything myrself, it all has to go though the same process and through the same hands. 

The album is now being mixed & eventually mastered and released. The release date will be announced on this page as soon as it's definite! The real recordings aren't yet to be heard, but some of the demos (with clips) are to be seen on YouTube. 

The live band ALUMNA is still taking shape and will be playing more often in the coming months to get familiar with the album, each other and their crowd.
