My dad played a lot Jazz whilst I was growing up, still does, he played a lot of John Coltrane and Miles Davis amongst others, but Miles's 'In A Silent Way' was always one of my favs with its beautiful emotional feel! I later found out that it was actually Joe Zawinul (Weather Report) that wrote 'In A Silent Way' for Miles, apparently Zawinul's initial version was quite busy and Miles stripped it all right back (apparently Zawinul was a bit pissed at that at the time)....so I made it busy again! Enjoy! :) Thanks Miles and Joe!!!! One of the best track titles ever also!!

Today we are premiering  Adèle, by the French artist Clarence Park. A track expected to be released on the 24th of December, on a compilation by various artists, on the  Sofia-based imprint DVNTT. 

Adèle as embodiment of our unfulfilled promises and our aggravated souls. A step beyond the karma and an unexpressed compromise. A pain slowly evolving, finally turning into a paradox, an act of freedom and a self-fullfiment prophecy. Powerful and sobre, a sorrowful parade towards an empty world. Dark experimental at its best.

Chapter One, Decade is the newest sonic story in the library of Strange Therapy, written and told by Iron Sight. Five heart piercing personal pieces, jam-packed with loud passion.

'Years' opens the heavily creaking doors to a time traveling hallway. The symphonic string walls are decorated with distant memories. They shake and quake with every uttered word. Each striking syllable creates a crack in the ground. 'Hide' exploits those cracks for a full on excavation. Barrages of screeching metal pierce the porous earth while a violent voice blasts away large chunks of cold hard earth. The rocks are sent flying sky-high through the eerie atmosphere. 'Blades' sounds even more explosive, with its gut-punching drums. The voice now roars through the swarming synthetic sounds of poisonous hornets. Screaming and soaring, it channels horror in every square inch of air.

'Weekend' doesn't let anything escape the suffocating tight embrace between the powers of desperation, destruction and creation. Mechanical pumps draw from a pool of raw emotion, bubbling and overflowing. 'Echo' is the last dive and the final splash in this pool. Drops fly high, refracting the twilight of frequencies before they bounce off against natural forces. Falling back down as piano sounds they make ripples, causing a moving reflection.

Æmɨt - Devourer

"Devourer of the dead, eater of hearts and great of death"

Fleisch welcomes Swedish electronic super-group Æmɨt, consisting of members from Alvar, D.M.T. & Nuclear Sludge, with their debut EP ‘Devourer’. Elements from each group weave their way into the tracks via primitive industrial arpeggiations, dystopian EBM vocal samples and 303-squelch bass lines, all forming around solid, rhythmic compositions. ‘Devourer’ delivers 4 tracks of primitive, minimal-synth, 16-bit ritual. 

Æmɨt takes its name from the demoness/goddess of ancient Egyptian theology that would devour the hearts of the impure in the afterlife, and ‘Devourer’ is as much an incantation as it is a call to the body. The opening track, taking its title from the EP, lays out a death-chant beneath synth constellations and an underworld horn section. ‘Error’ pits grinding pads against jagged percussive rhythms and ‘Hunter’ swirls beneath layers of filtered white-noise, while ‘Kalabalik’ pushes the tempo toward levels of proto-funeral-techno. 

The goddess Æmɨt was not worshipped; instead, she embodied all that the Egyptians feared, threatening to bind them to eternal restlessness if they were deemed unworthy. ‘Devourer’ summons the listener to their judgement, and which path they take is up to them.
