"This Is How We Do It" is first out the doors from Strange Idols.

It begun life as a much loved bootleg played at festivals and clubs all over the world by Reelow, Robert Dietz, Hector Couto, Tiger Stripes and Marco Carola and a few more select DJs. Reelow is a Hungarian-born, Barcelona-based DJ who is now travelling the world with a bag full of techno and house, ready to demolish any dancefloor he comes near.

The track was a secret weapon of his for a long time before it was picked up by Strange Idols. The song has been re-recorded by Leroy Burgess, formerly of the band Black Ivory, and remixed by Tiger Stripes, who worked with Leroy on the monster Ibiza anthem "Sisters" released on Desolat. Between the 3 of them they have worked with artists stretching from Cajmere, Adam Beyer and Kerri Chandler to Jocelyn Brown, Cassius and Rick James and beyond. To have all that soul, funk, house and techno madness combined on one record is what Strange Idols is all about. Expect the unexpected, Strange Idols will lead those who are willing.

Alex Neri is set to make his debut on Santé’s AVOTRE label with ‘Lady Rawness’ this Friday 10th June — and we’ve got the exclusive first play of Andrea Oliva’s jackin’ remix of the title track below.

The remix takes the original’s rolling beats, chunky bass and acid synths and rolls them into a club weapon primed for big rooms, and lands on the release with a separate treatment from Russ Yallop.

Andrea Oliva’s latest rework showcases why the Swiss DJ/producer has become a mainstay on the White Isle in recent years, with wide stretching synth build-ups and heavy drops.

Dirtybird started with a grill and some speakers in the park, and while we’ve passed a decade of park parties, we’ve reached the third installment of our yearly BBQ compilation, “Secret Sauce'.

BBQ’s are all about coming together, so we’ve added some unique artist collaborations, along with several up and coming artists we’ve welcomed to the family. Doorly &amp; Marshall Jefferson, Shiba San &amp; Will Clarke, Billy Kenny &amp; Maximono, Christian Martin &amp; Ardalan, and Justin Jay &amp; Sacha Robotti all team up for the first time, and we welcome back Bruno Furlan and Sirus Hood, who each turn in their own stand-out tracks that have been on heavy rotation. New faces to Dirtybird include Dateless, Whoami, Sven Lochenhoer, Middath, Groove ’N Hat, Dankey, and Born Dirty.

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann - Fuego (Julian Jeweil Remix)

Mihalis Safras and his Material imprint deliver a monster new release on the label this month courtesy of Get Physical and Tronic artist Noir. The collaboration follows the pair's recent co-production on Adam Beyer's Truesoul and it's equally impressive. Joining Noir on the release is Suara, Viva Music and Objektivity talent Dale Howard. The UK tech maestro, renowned for his own raucous blend of four-to-the-floor tech house is charged with looking after the remix of 'Fabulous' and he does so in signature style.

Premiere: Noir - Fabulous (Dale Howard Remix) [Material]

Solid Grooves serve up a five-track sampler featuring label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

Launching in September last year, Solid Grooves Records has been on an upwards trajectory ever since. The London and Ibiza brand are now about to kick-start their weekly Ibiza event series every Thursday at Vista Club where their core artists will share the decks with special guests throughout the summer. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic.

First up, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.

After multiple plays by Carola & Yousef, the circus recordings head reached a swift agreement with Richie Hawtin to release the impressive 2016 version without delay. 
The dance floor reactions both Marco and Yousef have had from the Mihalis remix have been phenomenal.
It's simply a banger... 
And the first time Yousef, Mihalis Safras, Marco Carola & Richie Hawtin have collaborated and contributed to a project together.

For its 42nd release, Mindshake Records blasts the summer with ‘Funky Citizenz’ from Luca Donzelli. This is the debut of the young and talented Italian producer on the imprint, and fulfilling expectations, Donzelli delivers a mature work with the creativity and technical mix to create a thrusting, powerful production. 

DJ and producer Luca Donzelli has made his name thanks to an active and authentic style. Be it playing at the Amnesia Ibiza Opening and Closing Parties or performing in a residency at Loco Dice’s HYTE, his skilful musical construction stands out all by itself. On his debut on Paco Osuna’s label, Luca Donzelli presents a precise tech-house dash with three original tracks that includes a Kabale und Liebe remix. 

’Funky Citizenz’ is wildly built from a dry drum set and driven into a wet holophonic housey piece. With surrounding vocal statements blended with a solid deep bass, Donzelli takes full control and pushes the momentum to the limits. 
Claiming its powerful place, 'Maya Will Never Fly' continues the wildness though an agile and elaborate game of clean cuts, showing an accurate musical symmetry between melodic and killer beats.

Donzelli’s third proposal 'Take the Message' sees him targeting the dance floors with an amazing dance sequence that has all the ingredients to become a summer hit. Catchy from the beginning, this track plays around with every single element, jumping from side to side to make his presence felt in our bodies. And just when you think it’s over, Donzelli take his time and reloads it with a change of mood that once again leave us wanting more. 

Closing the project, Kabale und Liebe show us the darker side of ‘Funky Citizenz’, moulding the remix into a dense techno procession.

This work is a perfect match between Mindshake Records and Luca Donzelli, demonstrating that they share the cutting-edge musical weapons to keep them getting noticed on the international music landscape.

So here we go again with a release you've all been waiting for – a new EP on Formatik Records that's about to be hammered on huge floors for ages, prepared and crafted for maximum crowd impact at the studios of the highly successful, world-travelling DJ and producer duo known as FormatB.

We premiere the title track 'Okeey Yaaah' today and with this FormatB are serving a high octane weapon for all primetime jocks out there, amalgamating a stomping, slightly metallic technoid attitude sporting highly energetic percussion and cowbell layers, super precise scratch-emulations, elements of Hardbag House, Rave-resembling stabs and well-twisted, killer vocal bits for an extra power boost.

'Whippp', the second cut on this EP, comes across a little more playful in terms of attitude, riding the high energy wave on a super solid TechHouse foundation, re-arranging, cutting up and restructuring vocal samples featured in the title track and most importantly bringing in a massive trademark stab sequence for the glowstick and whistle crew that has already been on fire when huge raves originally were happening back in '92.

Production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot aka Solardo are the next to make their mark on Hot Creations with ‘Tribesmen’, delivering two heavy-duty cuts destined to stir serious heat in the club.

Already doing the rounds worldwide at the hands of some of the biggest names in the business, ‘Tribesmen’ and ‘Psycho Girlfriend’ are built straight for the dancefloor around dense and heavy basslines, punchy percussion and prominent vocal slices.
