The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Joan Retamero for his first appearance. Hailing from Rosario, Argentina, Joan made his production debut in November of 2015 with a contribution to Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeats 3 compilation. A string of successful releases on Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings, Clubsonica Records and Movement Recordings followed thereafter, putting Joan at the centre of all things groovy and progressive. Also an accomplished DJ, the Rosario native made his debut at the EGG (London) in 2015 alongside top talents Nic Fanciulli and Pig & Dan, before going on to play alongside Paul Oakenfold at Ministry of Sound in 2017. With a release on Perfecto Black highlighting 2020, Joan has been quiet across 2021 thus far producing his first artist album, but building in the background has been the demand for his unofficial version of Billie Eilish’s hit ‘Oxytocin’. Much sought after since being played by Hernan Cattaneo on his popular Resident Podcast in August, we’re now happy to offer the track as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

Opening with 'Cutting Grapes' we are introduced to the bass-driven vibes of Columbia's sun-lit uplands. Deep and hypnotic, the track develops familiarity through warm tones and clever ebbs and flows. 'Mooz Rider' continues the trend with deep rubbery bass and sparse percussion. Building intensity throughout the main break is drumtastic. Finally, 'Tinkerchime' rounds out the pack with the perfect deep house crossover. Powerful bass and musical keys become such a warm, comforting audio hug, you'll have this track on repeat for hours.

After the success of last year's huge collab with Tomi&Kesh, label A&R HUTU returns to NoZzo with When The Lala EP, which also sees Italian rising superstar Francis De Simone (Solid Grooves, Desolat, Cuttin Headz) joining the label for the first time with a killer remix. The EP opens with deep, funk-laced stripped minimal grooves, sparkling percussion, and iconic hip-hop vocals, with Francis De Simone opting for a more dubby, robust remix. On the other two originals, HUTU's trademark rich and rolling drums make the rest, as he delivers two more trippy and fun upbeat, playful house grooves.
