The „Forms Apart“ LP comes four long years after the acclaimed debut album „Breathing Geometry,“ and a year after the Cold June EP release, a forerunner to this album that made the wait for the LP a little bit less agonizing. All twelve tracks prove the wait was worth it; 
Alvik have moved forward in terms of style diversity and instrumentation, whilst retaining the emotions. Four of the album tracks featured on the preceding EP – the lively On Air On Skin(4) that combines breakbeats with jazzy elements, Close(6) with a playful acoustic guitar and carefully placed horns, Cold June(9) with fingers sliding over the double-bass strings, a rhodes piano and a quiet soprano saxophone, and Trent Beat(12) with its beautiful trumpet intro. The intro track, Wishes, has Alvik tuning you in to their swaying wavelengths, only to have a little fun with you in the following rhythmical Headphones (2) phrasing, then bringing you back down with jazzy Elle (3). Sailing past the more rhythmical Final Next(5) and Samba In Paris(7), you’ll navigate to Silverspring(8), hosting a playful mélange of Anya’s vocals and the beat-boxing of the featured MC Freaky Jesus. The vocal talents of guest Tonya Graves will catch your ears in the Scream(10), followed-up by Anya’s swing through Got Myself(11), accompanied by Bharata’s strong and funky saxophone.
