Best Retro Party Music Mix 2024 - New Dance Remixes Of Popular Songs 80s, 90s, 2000s

We're back! 

It's been a brief hiatus, but as they say, "ain't nothin' to it but to do it!". Idle Cellars returns with a new look and more wonderfully chilled and eclectic DJ mixes for your listening pleasure. We have lots going on behind the scenes so watch this space!

We kick things off with renowned recluse and self-proclaimed Record Weasel James Glass! A native Londoner, James fled to the West Coast in the early 90s after a stint in NYC, immediately establishing himself in the local vinyl & DJ scenes with expert-level knowledge of soul, funk, disco, house and more. Thirty years later, James has seen a career that's brought him to play at everything that's worth playing in San Francisco, to successful disco edit label collabs with Wicked founder DJ Garth and Chicago hustler Zernell, to curating the third volume of Dave Lee's Under The Influence compilation series for Z Records and, in the past few years, quite possibly being at least partially responsible for the best outdoor daytime parties the Bay Area has seen in quite some time. James is the opposite of the modern, look-at-me-at-all-times social media DJ, much preferring to toil away weaseling the world's greatest records and occasionally appearing outside his home. 

"Good Feelings" is one for Sunday mornings,..into Sunday afternoons with wistful easy listening joints, proper soul, grooving dub and reggae, heady baroque pop, AOR funk and of course some disco and boogie to liven things up towards the end. Perfect for road trips, sunbathing, a well-rolled blunt or sunsets in warm weather....
