Except these things often turn out to be untrue, but with so many small lies each day, how do we know? They get into our head.

This song is about surviving a chaotic situation and finding calm afterwards, except the chaos still echoes. The repeating piano never entirely goes away. We never find complete stillness, but the hope of it can be enough. It continues my 'reports of animals' songs with birds or birdsong.

This song is inspired by a sign on a motorway that says 'Reports of Animals'. This led to a strange feeling of what may be ahead on the road, assuming animals had somehow made their way onto it. But also, the strangeness of the title led me to think of machines fearing animals that somehow threatened their existence.
