I took the prompt quite literally - selecting music to convey what it would feel like as a radio signal traveling through space; deeper, spatial compositions that evoke weightlessness. Even though space travel is a violent and terrifying place, I wanted the primary takeaway feeling to be peaceful. At this moment in Earth’s history, anywhere might be better than here.”

Terrence Michael (he/him) 

Terrence Michael is a London-based DJ and visual artist originally from New York City. Inspired deeply by the eclectic mixing style of house music’s early DJ’s and his years spent as a dedicated dancer in NYC's queer house/techno scene, Terrence has crafted an approach to music that is tension-heavy, funky, psychedelic and leftfield yet decidedly soulful. Terrence cut his teeth DJing at house parties, after hours and clubs around NYC including Trans-Pecos, Black Flamingo and Fotografiska’s Chapel Bar. His mixing style explores the friction created from contrast while still being mindful of cohesive narrative and is marked by free flowing selections that vary from house, disco, techno, soul and funk to assorted strains of UK dance music.
