Bergqvist returns with a magnificently minimalist track: a drum machine, a 303 bassline and resonating arpeggios swirling to the moon and back. Dorisburg follows up with an angular, spiraling beat where the devil is in the sizzling details. Genius of Time close out the record on the flip with another one of their signature organic drum workouts.

We're happy to welcome back LA-based producer Ole Mic Odd, this time with a full EP that crashes electro traditions into gloomy post-punk aesthetics. The result is six filthy tunes of menacing vocoders, murky pads and distorted acid that go from 2 AM clinched-teeth-madness to punishing slow burners that will bump a 64 Pontiac Lowrider.

Michael Padgett is a West Coast hardware electro wizard who runs The New U.S. Government (label) and has released lots of funky electro dirt on labels such as Kraftjerkz, Zement and Source Material. He returns to Kri Records after contributing to our compilation Trust the Rust Vol.1.

As it kicks off, a peak time reverie blasts through a sultry club night in one of Kinugawa's abandoned Onsen hotels. With a fusion of pumping kick drums, lighthouse echo effects and dreamy synthesizers punctuated by a high-spirited monologue interlude, Max In The World dives deep into the uncanny pleasures of human nature.

Info: I am happy to present our first tape release by The Jaffa Kid as part of the brand new Digital Artefacts series.

The series is an ode to the sound of the 90s, from Electro, IDM and Jungle to further different experimental stuff and sounds. The choice of tape as format seemed fitting for the aesthetic of the series.

The first EP comes from UK based The Jaffa Kid (previously on 030303, Dischi Nottetempo, Gated Recordings and more) and is a solid mixture of Electro, Techno and beyond.

10th November sees Curle Recordings favourites Hiver return to the Belgian label for the release of their latest EP, entitled ‘Air Castles’. 

Since making their debut on the imprint in 2013 with ‘Blue Aconite’, the Italian duo has since released two more EPs on Curle; ‘Same Mistake Twice’ in 2015 and ‘Soundescence’ last year. Since the release of the latter mentioned EP, Hiver have been busy behind the booth, performing in the UK, China, Germany, Holland and, of course, in Italy, where they still hold a residency at DUDE Club. 

Kicking off the EP is ‘Elipse’, a stunning four-minute track that nods to avant-garde artists such as Wolfgang Voigt’s GAS alias or Brian Eno, as the pair gradually weaves several layers of shining, atmospheric tones before slowly fading into the background.

Title-named track ‘Air Castles’ follows, with the tight selection of drums combined with the ebb and flow of soaring synths creating a melodic style of techno that has become synonymous with their name.

Next is ‘Aleutine’, a song that similarly blends Hiver’s characteristically ethereal, hazy synths alongside more vibrant analogue bleeps to great effect. These delicate synths are later given the chance to gleam as the track comes to a close. 

Closing this excellent four-track EP is deep-groover ‘Leisure’, seeing Hiver up the tempo through their clever use of percussive elements, sharp synths and headstrong drums.

‘Air Castles’ EP is available on November 10th on 12” and digitally.

Berlin based artist Richard Easel, is releasing his first EP 'Synapase' on Leipzig imprint 'A Friend In Need'. Synapse is a 5 track modular synth masterpiece, ranging from massive acid house tracks to warm spacey electro. 'Abl3' the intro track to the release, is a relentless acid tinged electro track locking you into a trance for 5 min and 30 seconds with its bubbly basslines, ghosted break beat percussions and atmospheric melodics. Richard Easel is definitely one to watch out for.

Synapse will be available on Bandcamp March 3rd, 2019.

Ellen Allien and the BPitch team proudly announce a 33-track compilation dedicated to the infamous 'We Are Not Alone' event series and Berlin’s underground techno talent. BPitch Control and UFO Inc. boss Ellen Allien's innovative party series was launched in 2016 and remains committed to inviting an exciting crew of artists to perform alongside stunning visuals by Pfadfinderei. After the closure of the beloved homebase 'Griessmuehle', the rave moved to the old venue's new location that became: Revier Südost. 

The 'We Are Not Alone' compilation features artists that have played at the WANA parties, as well as those who will join the line-up for future events. 'We Are Not Alone' will be released in three installments, featuring 11 tracks each.
